The vocals in the song are deceptively complicated. I've seen some people try to cover the song, some did okay - but none that I've seen have ever nailed the richness of those harmonies. I guess the rollicky rhythm *might* date it, but the lyrics are timeless. This is great song that people can still apply relevantly in their lives.

These guys were really tight back then and they had so much joy playing music together. just sheer joy. That is until the pressures of family and money and maybe to a certain degree pain. You just never really know what someone is thinking or feeling at anyone time. I just looked up Larry Hoppen the lead vocalist on this song has been gone from our presence 10+ years. I have read that he was a very giving person who would help out anyone. I have been fortunate to not to have known that many people who chose to end their lives early. Maybe aging was a factor. He was 61. But the sting of death touches all those who loved and will cherish his memory. Ironically Larry wrote one of their comeback hits. "Love Takes Time". Larry never had enough time to Love himself.

I just wish this Dutch TV outing had not been another lip-sync event. There are precious few filmed performances that were live, if that many, and the one here on KZbin was a latter-day, slightly past-prime (different bass voice and Poppen's own high-ranges age-diminished) document. Nevertheless, a fabulous song on several levels, not the least of which is its vitamin-like ability to spread happiness like a nourishment wherever it plays.

This was one of my favorite songs and my girlfriend and I used to dance to it. But every time I did after I sat down, there was at least 10 girls come up to me and asked me to dance with them. I told him I'm a one woman man. I know I only dance with my girlfriend. It was hard to do because they were all good dancers and good looking. But I thought my girlfriend was better. Unfortunately we did break up, but this song has never died in my heart
