Great choice of car, one that can both sing and dance. The sound keeps me on ICE along with the analog tach, the baton to conduct the music right. Last year I did 1,147 miles in one day on I-40 in my Cayman S, Sport PASM, 18-way seats and LED headlights. Tire pressure set to comfort, 30 psi. Cruise set at 89 mph for most of the drive. Car feels more comfortable at higher speeds. A 2,500 mile drive in 3 days, nothing but smiles. Planning on a 5,000 mile 2 week drive in my 2.0 Boxster. Both fun cars, Cayman is the better looker by far. Enjoy your car.

Took delivery of my Cayman Style Edition at the end of July. Yes, the tyre noise at motorway speeds is noticeable but in all other respects I've been very impressed. The ride quality is excellent for a sports car with 20in wheels; the driving dynamics are a joy; the quality of the interior (with real buttons!) is at least as good as most of the Mercedes that I've had; and the pace is more than enough for public roads. Oh, and it looks drop-dead gorgeous.

Nice review. I have a 6MT 2L Cayman with 19s and PASM - ride quality is excellent, and I suspect you’re right about 19s being preferable to 20s in this regard. I believe the 20s also result in more road noise, but don’t know for sure, and I think this will be a bit of an issue regardless of wheel size. Engine noise-wise, these things have an electronic ‘Soundaktor’ which doesn’t really help but just makes things more droney. A lot of owners pull the fuse and never put it back. I’m quite happy with the sound - not the howling flat 6 of the 981, but then nor is the 4 litre 982 either, really. And no, it’s not cheap - but then the roughly equivalent 968 was also around $140k - 30 years ago! So by that standard it’s a bargain….
