The Potato Salad recipe you pulled out is going to be a good one...I saw it asked for vinegar and that is the secret ingredient to a wonderful potato salad!! You can use pickle juice if you are out of vinegar. I love that recipe box!! You scored.

Pro tip: If you're using Google lens and it's not quite getting it, you can tap "+add to your search" at the top and you can add a word/words to narrow it down, like for instance you could add "mug" for this one and it may have found a match 😊

I love those flower arrangements, they are beautiful. I was so tempted to bid on the one with the glass base but was out of my budget. I have a miniature one (2 inches tall) with a cloisonné base that I purchased about 30 years ago and I treasure it. The box of recipes was a great find, I hope you film some of the meals you make from them.🥰

The vase you left is Morgantown Glass "Old Lead Crystal" from the 1960's in the color Pineapple. I looked it up in my Morgantown Glass book. I think you saw the smaller one. I immediately recognized the sticker. I grew up and live in Morgantown, WV which was the home of several glass factories including Morgantown Glass Guild and Seneca Glass (they made the Driftwood Casual which you occasionally find....it was copied by many).

The Starbucks coffee cup beside the dog mug might have been worth picking up. That logo was changed quite a few years ago and does not include the word coffee any longer. Might be a collector out there for that.

I loved the mouse reaching for the stars in the what not say,but couldn’t afford how high it went couldn’t. I just had to have it, I found the same one on eBay for $7.50 so I bought it and already received it. Of course I can’t say I purchased it fro the CLL but I’ll always know that’s where I saw it first. It’s so darn cute.

Having grown up around Japanese art and items from my Aunt Michiko I can tell you that art piece is stunning. It has all the tiny details to the clothing it should have. The artist knew their stuff and did not skimp.

A couple of my mother's sisters worked at the place that made those trays. But I can't remember the company name either. I have at least a dozen of those. ❤️ All with different designs, and some with life family pictures and announcements in then like graduation and wedding invitations. Seeing that one makes me want to go dig all mine out!!!

I believe the terms gravy boat and sauce boat are interchangeable depending on where you are from and what your cultural background is. Both kinds can have an attached or non-attached base plate.

Want to install a 40’s bedroom, check out films from the mid 30’s up to 1950. People probably didn’t change interiors that much from the mid thirties into the forties due to the war and depression. Those Hollywood interiors would be livable today, most people lived with linoleum and make-do hand me downs.

The Butterfly tray with maple leaves probably uses a special Japanese paper made using REAL butterflies and leaves! All hand made and i don't believe there are any paper makers in Japan still using butterflies but you can still buy mulberry paper with the maple leaves imbedded in.

I too found a recipe box at a estate sale loaded with hand written recipes from the grandmother for $5.00. The kids selling the stuff could of cared less about the recipes so I bought them, took what I wanted and gave them to a small church thrift store and while I was there some good hearted woman bought them.

The Japanese art will be beautiful in the guest bedroom I love 1940s style and look forward to seeing the furniture. I think I have some ideas what it looks like and feel like the Japanese art will suit it nicely. I have a odd mix of things I like but can’t decorate much if at all. I love old spindle beds, mid century modern, industrial, wrought iron beds, nuloom wool rugs (wish I could send. You mine I can’t use my room is tiny wool colorful albeit needs cleaning after moving) I started this video last night now it’s early morning I had another rough night. Your videos are helping me hang on even if by a thread.
