Telekom Electronic Beats TV’s synth expert Stimming checks out Maschine+, Native Instruments’ new groove-box which takes the original Maschine workflow, but packages it into a new standalone format, which can also be used in controller mode with a computer. It includes NI plug-ins and effects like FM8, Monark, Massive, Raum, Phasis along with many more, and also features its very own sequencing capabilities. Powered by a quad core CPU and 4 GB of RAM, it also has a pro grade 24 bit audio interface, and built in Wi-Fi. Stimming gives us the heads up on this exciting new piece of gear.

Thanks so much for the great review Martin! Audio hiccups are of course a big no-go and this was a beta version of the software. Stability is our top priority for the update that will be available on the October 1st release date. Really nice to see you having so much fun with morphing and macros. You can in fact set macros per sound, per group, and also on the master, which would give you what you're looking for. Regarding performance, while starting one instance of Monark shows a 20% usage of the CPU, that does not mean that opening four instances of Monark would take up 80% CPU. The CPU usage will only go up a few percent if you use the same instrument. Thanks for the great feedback and suggestions, we're happy you're excited for Maschine+!

one thing I forgot during the heat of the fight of this video: the converters sound pretty good! I have no doubt in the converter quality at all - in the meantime I recorded a lot into it, also some program material and did a blind A/B test afterwards and heard no real difference against the original. also the output is nice, I assume they spent a bit on the converter parts.

@Stimming I appreciate your effort to be totally transparant and sincere about your opinions and thoughts regarding this product, great job! Being a Maschine user for over 5 years I'm definitely interested in this concept of a stand alone Maschine but it has some hurdles to overcome as far as I can tell looking at the dislays & software interfacing, incorporating outboard gear and also pitching / time stretching quality (all of these points you mentioned as well). Anyway great review Stimming and great concept so far NI, keep pushing forward! It's amazing how your certain style of music shows up on every different machine that you review! What this tells us, is that gear doesn't matter too much but it's rather our creativity and I can see it clearly on every review! You can make a "stimming" track with every piece of gear! That's what every artist strives for I guess.

Im not sure if this function is available but it would be great if cpu assignment was an option.
