It was recorded at Palais Omnisport of Bercy, in Paris, on 01/11/2000 for 16,000 people. Cheb Mami and his band opened the night for Sting. Cheb Mami is a great artist, but involved in controversies in his private life. From Wikipedia: “He was accused of attempting to force an abortion on his then-girlfriend, magazine photographer Isabelle Simon. During a trip to Algeria in the summer of 2005, Simon was locked in a house belonging to one of Cheb Mami's friends, where an abortive procedure was attempted on her. Afterwards in France, she realized the fetus was still alive, and she later gave birth to a daughter.” He was found guilty by a Paris Court, sentenced to 5 years in prision, but after he got a conditional release. In 2015, he had to pay EUR 200K to Cheb Rabah because of plagiarism in four texts.
