Sting is a class apart. He's a category in himself. There are no comparisons. He's incomparable. His music transcends generations and spirit. He's a poet. Fees a musician. He's a songwriter. He's a father. He's a friend. He's a lover. He's a Yogi. He's human. His music makes you feel he's part of your intimate life.

I am a huge Beatle fan and always will be. I love Pink Floyd, all four of them together, and not apart. Even Elvis still moves me but Sting is the embodiment of all. He knows his music will forever be, as it is recorded, enjoyed and stored, into the joyful, serene, place, in all our hearts.

A great song writer and musician! One of the best ever. Rolling Stones didn’t name him as one of the top 100 song writers in Rock. What a joke is that magazine! He is one of the top 5 never mind top 100.

As a Sting fan of 40 years, I've defended him more times than I can remember... mainly against accusations that he's an egomaniac. I've always felt those accusations said more about the accuser than about Sting. I hope the people who still criticize him see this video. If you're just utterly cynical, then I suppose nothing will change your mind, but I think most will see a genuinely humble and appreciative man here.

José is joking all the time about his blindness and people do not get it. He can't read, he can't see, and he insists in that he is going to read, and people do not get it or do not find it funny. Well done, José Feliciano, you are great too, and have made us happy with your music since the sixties.

Meraviglioso il discorso di Sting! Lo riporto... "In hearing these welcome comments I've come to realize that popular music in all its forms has managed to create a soundtrack to peaple's life memories the prompts and musical cues for their personal emotional landscapes. This is as surprising to me as it is nourishing for these seemingly commonplace events I am most grateful. What have I learned as a musician? The most significant piece os musical advice I was ever given was from the great arranger Gil Evans who told me this: - Sting, there is no such thing as a wrong note is always the note that follows that will define whether the first note was wrong or not. - After some thoughts I realize that this was profound advice not only in the context of music but also in life. All of us make mistakes, but is how we react to those apparent mistakes in what follows that defines our human intelligence, our ability to adapt to improvise and to evolve. I can only claim one and only one nugget of musical truth in my own thinking, it is this that in the composition of music Silence is every bit as important as sound, equally important to note value, tomber and pitch. In my own work I've attempted to allow murders to breed uncluttered by dense layers of sound whenever possible a deering to the old maxim that Less Is More and so I've come to believe that if there is such a thing as a perfect music not perfect music may well be this, Silence, and all that we do as musicians is create a frame and hopefully a beautiful frame around that perfection that we call Silence.
