Dominic Miller is the most under appreciated guitar player ever. He always knows his place, whether its 110 % in the foreground, like soul cages, or back against the wall(i.e. brand new day). Sting's solo career really had a northern star, once he had a guitar player that could really comprehend the parts in his imagination. IMHO Miller is one of the best sidemen ever; he balances heavy compression and delay/reverb effects for a sound that is immediate and cavernous.
@VIDS20132 жыл бұрын
Dominic is great. His son Rufus is also playing guitar on the US tour--and he's really good, too! (Sting introduced Rufus at the Dallas show by saying he was hedging his bets. 😂)

Very nice. Good to see Sting still writing great songs. You'd think as you get older, your ability to write a classic tune would improve ( this isn;t a criticism, just an observation), yet we don't see the McCartney's Stings, Knopflers etc writing/composing those brilliant stand out classics as they get older. Maybe it's youth/inspiration type thing. Who knows. For a guy in his 70's, this tune was pretty good though.
