I am currently designing an underwater fpv drone I will be calling Stingray as it will resemble a stingray when I'm done. This is the fpv camera assembly I designed and made for my stingray underwater drone. It’s using a runcam2 fpv camera that will record and output video to my fpv headset so I can see what the drone sees while diving. The antennas for the camera and control of the watercraft will be attached to a floatation device. This will allow me to dive a mile away without needing such a long tether. I made the parts at Europa Manufacturing in Boca Raton, Fl.

"So... if you're interested, I'm gonna show you guys how I actually made all these parts". Heads out to shed in back yard... Switches on light... HANG ON, WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?!! Did we just translocate to paradise? Another interesting video, thanks. L&S

What is the proper name for that press-in fastener system? Those look a lot more professional than the typical riv-nuts (though those a slick too)

PEM nuts by Penn Engineering, generically: Swage Nuts / Fasteners

The generic terms for the hardware I used are self-clinching nuts and self-clinching standoffs. PEM is the best brand and the part numbers I used here were CLS-440-2 and BSOS-6440-28.

Pretty cool. Looks 👍🏼. What kind of filament material are you printing with for the gasket? What’s kind of depth to you expect the gasket to hold at? Have you ever checked out some of Taulman3D filaments. They have FDM filaments, not sure what printers you are using. They don’t have gasket like materials, but I tested some of their first materials they made I think 6 or 7 years ago. Back then I had to do some custom mods to get some of it to print, but he makes quality FDM stuff.

You can't transmit video to ground from under water because most of the wavelengths can't penetrate water.. that's why mini subs use tether cable

Careful with the wireless transmission underwater. the optics can cause some strange anomalies, especial when the wavelength is about the size of a small fish :-)
