Excellent ink choice!!! I have several, several Etrurias... love the sensuous hourglass taper of the grip section and the fact that both body and grip section are of the same material. My only dislike is the plastic feed ((as I have appeal many times to both retailers and Stipula that Ebonite feeds are sort of expected at this price point and of such quality)). But I enjoy each of my "Etruria Magnificas". Thank you for your review. Great content.

I, too, would much prefer the ebonite feed to be almost a given for the premium priced gold nib Etrurias, at least. But their plastic feeds work perfectly fine in some of my many Etrurias. The ebonite feed is more common in some of my other much-loved Stipulas: the Florentia model. Do you have any of the older, slimmer bodied Novecentos? Those pens need to be revived and offered anew again. I sometimes greatly worry about my celluloid Etrurias and their longevity despite all due care in storing and using them.

Happy to see you review this pen, Blake. At the price you paid, it is almost inexcusable not to buy an Etruria. Though, in my experience, there’s always a real chance of encountering problems with any heavily price discounted pen. Good that yours works very well, unlike the Ventidue pen that you bought for a steal, too. Have you had the piston fixed? Along with the Aurora 88, the Stipula Etruria remains my absolute favorite pen of all time. I have several (not the Wild Honey, though) of the Etruria pens - in celluloid, resin and ebonite, including a few of the faceted Etrurias among them. Your pen has the timeless original design aesthetic that I think I still like best. It is the very slightly larger ‘Magnifica’ model compared to the traditional ‘Classic’ Etruria. The Etruria (like the Aurora 88) is just about the ‘perfect’ pen for me. I greatly love the all round.design, size, the perfect feel in hand, the various truly beautiful colour/finish offered, the clip and trim, the nibs (both gold and steel), great piston, and just a terrific pen that provides endless pleasure to look at and use. I wish Stipula offered many more of the affordable c/c, resin bodied Etrurias w/steel (or with the option of a gold upgrade) nibs. Their made-in-house 14k/18k ‘Stiflex’ nibs are truly excellent and some of my firm favorite writers. Long comment, but I couldn’t help myself . I just love the Etruria pens to pieces. ❤️

Hi Sajjad, thank you for the comment! I have a Da Vinci Capless in olive wood in 14kt gold. I think this nib may be made in-house. It does have a plastic feed. I don't think I've seen many Stipulas with an ebonite feed. I ended up just returning the Ventidue pen. I didn't think it was worth the headache of the repair.

A long time ago Stipula got rid of the gold parts of these pens so they could be sold at a lower price point.

It is one of Stipula's classic models but I've never had one of the older ones to compare it with.
