Stirling Pumpkin Spice Shave Soap.

Ken, there is only one problem with the Stirling Pumpkin Spice soap (and I also bought the matching aftershave), The problem is that the combination smells like one of my favorite things in the world: pumpkin bread. The aftershave stays with me for quite a while, so I stay hungry for much of the day. Great shave today! Look forward to the next one.

Ken, I think you might even gain by spending more time in building the lather. The extra two minutes of swirling your brush will improve your lather of Stirling Soap and take it to the next level. Nice one Ken💈 An international shave really, many countries represented in this one. Stirling soap is top shelf, scent, performance and price are hard to beat👌 You should try their Hot Apple Cider soap, whoa! just like the drink, amazing. As far as the Gillette razor goes, I'm surprised they even gave it a thought. Obviously it's not made in the USA, that in itself is a deal breaker for many🤔 I'm sure it's made in China, that may be a deal breaker for many as well. It may be a mistake, but I think I'll wait and see what the reviews are. But, it is interesting non the less. Great video again👍 Enjoy!

I thought I was an oddball for enjoying the burning sensation when applying aftershave but it looks like I am not alone here haha. I'm not sure I would want to smell like pumpkin pie, I like clean shower type scents like the Gillette pure (just got yesterday and havent tried it yet) and van der hagen soap puck. i guess mainly because those are the only 2 soaps I have at the moment but both smell good. I want to try other products but dont want to get carried away and have a full stash of multiple brands. I tend to get carried away when getting into a new hobby. Haha

If you have netflix I would highly suggest the last kingdom and marco polo. The last kingdom is a bout Vikings, it may feed your GoT hunger haha. I like a lot of detective/mystery shows, there are 2 mini series: River and the other Retribution that are really good. Have good twists at the end if you like detective type shows also.

Interesting that Gillette have brought back DE not long after Wilkinson went back to metal with their Classic model. Obviously both companies are aware that more folks are taking an interest in the older (and better) way of doing things. Something tells me we may well see Gillette bringing out a brush soap just like Wilkinson in the not too distant future.

Hi Ken! Long time since I last commented, but I do watch...lurker me! Yes, want one of those crystal skulls. Stirling Pumpkin Spice is a favorite of mine too. Smells so edible...just don't try to taste. You will be so disappointed...yuck! Stirling soaps do lather nicely. The Captain's Choice Cat-O-Nine Tails...just burns so good and turns my face completely red. It does pair lovely with the Pumpkin Spice soap. I want to get excited about the new Gillette offering, but it doesn't really remind me of a Gillette razor. Now, I might buy just for the case! I didn't get excited over the Dodge Challenger, but the Ford Shelby GT350...Yes, I did! When the dealer got greedy and added their mark-up, I scrapped the idea of buying one and put the some money into my 2014.5 Ford Mustang GT. Custom tune, improved the shifting, one piece aluminum drive shaft, ugraded K-member, etc. Making 444 RWHP...feel the power.

Hi all, I am relativley new to wet shaving and i have a really hard time getting a lather that wont dry out. i use proraso green and no mater how much water I use It always dries out on my face before I finish my first pass, which leads to an uncomfortable shave. Any suggestions?

Preston Fuller- Welcome to wet shaving! I had the exact same problem when I started :-). The problem as I experience it was that I didn’t shake out enough water from the brush. BTW I LOVE Proraso, especially the Green and return to it as a choice amongst all of my soaps a couple times a month and always enjoy it. Try starting by shaking the water out of your brush 3 to 4 times, you really just want it damp, not dripping. Then rotate the damp brush on the Proraso puck for 8 -10 seconds. What you should have at that point is the soap loaded on the ends of the bristles but it isn’t foamy yet. Next , either in a mug, a bowl or the palm of your other hand, begin working the soaped bristles in circles and even pumping the brush up and down. It begins by looking kind of like a paste, after you work it for a little while, 10 seconds, it begins looking like a dry version of shave cream. I then run my hand into my sink of water then let 8 -10 drops of water drip into to lather I’m working. Whip that in and you’ll see the foam coming to life, might need to add that little amount of water a couple times until your brush is just exploding with the foamy soap that is rich and thick, stands up in peaks. That kind of lather has great slickness and cushion for DE blade!

I about 8 out of 10 leaning towards buying the New Gillette Razor but part of me is ambivalent. Based solely upon looking at pictures; there is nothing particularly special about the razor. In my opinion, it looks very much like a Mekur 34 C HD in terms of dimensions and knurling and Edwin Jagger DE 89 in terms of the head cap. This would or will be buying something I want not need. I am concerned about something else. I call it the "X-Files" factor. When the "X-Files" first came out; it was not popular with the general public and when it did become popular the quality of the stories crashed. Everything was done to appeal to the Masses and I think the same thing could happen with this type of DE razor.
