Might join in if it's not too late. Finally found some 2x3in baggies for my threads. Spent yesterday sorting some of my complete/WIP sets; using envelopes with the set name and code written on the front, chart and package inside, along with a smaller envelope with all the bagged threads that have a piece of card inside ID'ing the thread. It prevents any light damage to the chart and threads, and I can write notes on the envelope. We've all got our own system I bet

I have been doing counted cross stitch for 30 yrs I love it but I only do it on 14 and 18 count…. I have never done it on a 32 I guess it’s intimidating to me but watching you it doesn’t look scary . And I also like your plastic frame you use I’m so glad I found you😊

I've been stitching on 14 count as well. I took the leap and tried the evenweave that came in the Advent calendar box. Ive been stitching with it since January and absolutely love it. Now I'm doing a big project on 28ct evenweave. CCS has a great video that helped me learn it. ❤

I did! I followed a cross stitch pattern and painted the X's in on a pegboard wall 🥰

When you make the second stitch are you putting the needle between the 2 strands of floss?? Is this just a preferred method or have I been doing it wrong? If preferred then what is the reason. I'm new to cross stitching and just want to learn.

I noticed this also. I have been stitching for many years and never did this. I think there is another CCS video that talks about this technique as a way to keep the thread smooth and not twisted but not completely sure.

I do! It's a technique called railroading and is completely up to personal preference! I find it helps the stitches lay nice and flat and helps the threads form twisting too much. It can be a bit fiddly at first but with a little practice it becomes second nature. 🥰

Hi, do you know what size Q snap you have for this project? I have a Q snap frame but it's too small for the project x

Hi Katie! The great thing about Q snaps is the frames are interchangeable so you can mix and match to create any size you need, unfortunately I do this constantly so I'm not sure exactly which size frame I'm using here, but looks to be about 11x11. ❤
