This tutorial has helped me so much. For some reason when I change colors while decreasing I mess it up and need to go back and look at the video. It helps me to figure out what I am doing. I did have trouble when I started the decrease. I wanted to have 4 rows in a plain color on the increase and four rows of the same color on the decrease and somehow ended with an extra row on the decrease side. What did I do incorrectly? I've also decided to make myself a shawl by only doing half of the c2c in a very thin but pretty yarn. I will add a boarder to it and use it for church. Any suggestions for the edging? Thanks so much for the video and teaching about a wonderful afghan. The first two I'm working on are going to the next two children in our family that we are waiting on to be born. Thanks, DJ

Stacy, Your color choices' are so very pretty I love them. Also I have a written pattern, for how to finish off the corner stitch. That I just couldn't follow. Thank you for making this video. I think seeing you doing the steps makes it so much easier to work . I do have one question? This pattern benign new to me, how to determine the size for a lap pads, or full size blankets?
@Stitchinstacy9 жыл бұрын
YOu are very welcome Miss Janet..and really this is no one way to determine that ...other than you keep making blocks and once you have enough blocks..that is the size....doubled it will be...when i do my lapghans..i usually have about 50-60 blocks before starting the decrease..if you want to do a full size..i recommend at least 120 or so more...i have never done a full size..so i cant really say.

Stacy thank you so much for this video it was really helpful. I am a newbie at crochet & seem to be having an issue with the C2C pattern-when I do the 3 DC into the space of the chains it is coming out with the 2nd & 3rd DC longer than the 1st. I can't figure out why this is happening other than maybe my 3 chains are too large & are pulling it out of shape. The overall pattern looks good but it's not really a square block anymore. I tried just DC into the 3 chains & now it looks more square. Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Hi Stacy. You are so good at your tutorials. I have a question about the decrease. I'm wondering if I'm doing the decrease correctly. On the end when u change colors, are u supposed to see the color change on the end where u change? I hope u understand what I'm asking.
@Stitchinstacy9 жыл бұрын
if you are color changing on your decrease...you need to wait and do your color change after you have done the slip stitches..that way you you dont see it..is that what you mean?

I have fallen in love with making c2c afghans the 1st one I made, I used 2 colors starting with 6 rows of color 1, then 6 rows of color 2, then color one until I decided to decrease When I came to the end, I didn't have 2 rows of color 2 and 6 rows of color 1. I thougt, ok, Jo Anne, you screwed up. The 2nd one I am working on i am doing in 6 row each of 2 colors. Now that I am about to finish my afghan, I am running into the same problem. I am not ending up with my rows being the same length on the decrease as they are on the increase. What am I doing wrong?
@reneejohnson43616 жыл бұрын
Hello, I'm having the same issues right now with my corner 2 corner blanket using 3 different colors and 7 rows of each color. Did you happen to find a solution to your question? As I decrease my rows on each end of the blanket I'm working on at the moment, I noticed that my sides are not even with each other. I ripped down a few rows thinking I made a mistake, re-crocheted the rows again but still not even.
