I think that this has to be one of the prettiest quilts that I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe how quickly you’ve managed to construct this. Great results.

Rachel, your work is so so lovely. The colors you pick are so aligned to what I like, as well as the printed material, it is just so gorgeous. Thank you. I have learned so much from you. You explain all you do which is a big plus. Looking forward to your next video.

Gorgeous quilt, it was definitely a good decision to change the pink border. The back of the quilt is so pretty. This quilt deserves that beautiful backing. ❤

I think this quilt that you made is absolutely stunning. Beautiful. I can see there’s a lot of work involved in this. The light pink on your border is really beautiful. It was a good decision. However, if you had never said anything to anyone only you would’ve known. Nobody really would’ve thought anything about the other border because it was nice too. This is better though. I have learned over the years sometimes I just had to make do with what I had. And I look back at it many years later and I think to myself this quote looks good. I don’t know why I didn’t like it really looks wonderful. So time passes and sometimes our perspectivechanges along with it. But you did have joy and making the quilt and your love every day getting up and looking at it. It’s a part of you laying around wherever it’s gonna be.

It's gorgeous Rachel 😍 I am looking forward to seeing it finished. I am hand quilting a Christmas table runner at the moment. I also have an English paper pieced quilt ready to layer and then hand quilt. I'm using the same thread as you, and I really like it too. I'm using a size 9 hand embroidery needle, which I find just perfect for me. It's nice and long and sharp too.. Just thought I would pop that on in case anyone is looking for a needle to try ❤

Such a pretty quilt. I know how brave it was of you to cut into your liberty for backing. Awhile I bought a sari cotton (similar texture to liberty). It is the softest, cuddliest quilt I've ever made ❤❤❤

Beautiful just beautiful!!! I loved seeing the fabrics close up and found myself saying “Oh, I have that one too!” I just finished my 18th square of the Alice book. Thank you for your help. I too have done a non Liberty for the background and am using some of my stash as well as the Liberty I have. I also just ordered some more as I find the squares lend themselves to the smaller all over prints from Alice. I am finally over my brain mush syndrome, just like you said as well. So thankful for your thoughtful help. Jean Colorado USA

So beautiful! Your choice of borders are perfect. I loved the burgundy one you put in the beginning and using it as a binding will look great. I’ve bought some liberty fabrics wanting to make a quilt but now realise I need a lot more varied prints! Yours is wonderful and thank you for sharing it 😊

Hello! I am in love with Liberty and as of yet had the courage to cut into any of if it but to see your gorgeous quilt there I think no time like the present. Having said that I would very much love to see you hand stitch those bigger hexie's in a video if you can. I do EPP but would be interested in learning your hand sewing as well. Your quilt by the way is so pretty and an inspiration to me. I am quite new to your channel so I plan to go to the beginning of this quilt and watch. Thank you and keep on with Liberty!😊

Good decision to change to the softer pink for the border. I think the other brighter fabric would make a nice binding for that hexagon quilt that's on the design wall. Loved seeing the finished liberty quilt top in the garden.

Hi Rachel. Your videos are a joy to watch. I'm new to quilt making and you have inspired me alot. I'm finishing my first flying goose quilt which has had ups and downs but its OK ,like you say its where we are! I'm off to to the quilt fair too as I am already planning my next quilt. I love your honesty and humble approach to the process. I have osteoarthritis in my hands which has made my joints swell so I would be interested in a hand piecing video, as my hands do ache. Diane

What an utterly beautiful quilt! The soft pink is much nicer for the border - good call! Also I’m so happy you share and talk about traditional hand piecing. It seems EPP is a lot more popular currently but I just adore traditional hand piecing. It’s a lot faster too! Though there is more ironing involved 🫣😄

What a stunning quilt Rachel. You have done an excellent job piecing and now quilting it. I have just started hand quilting my pile of UFOs after being inspired by you. I am hooked. It is sew relaxing as no getting stressed when the bobbin thread suddenly runs out way back half way along a very large seam. I also noticed a pretty quilt folded over your sofa and would be delighted if you showed us that one. Happy stitching x

Good afternoon Rachel. I know how you feel about that Fabric. I bought some Fabric mini mini years ago. Paid a lot of money for it. Made some beautiful bedroom valances with it. I got sick of it after 30 years. Wanted to make something different or buy something different. So I did. Well I throw that fabric out, no no. The fabric was the best of its kind and its day. I paid a lot of money for it. It’s still beautiful Fabric. I’m making a hexagon quilt with flowers cutting. It’s gonna be beautiful when it’s done and then I’ll have enough to make a quilt, which I think I’m going to do so I’m going to make a table runner, and a lap size quilt. I’m really looking forward to it. Your quilt is absolutely stunning. I love your liberty fabrics I even like the clothes you wear. Looks like they’re made out of liberty fabrics they’re gorgeous. Limit yourself to start with with your handstitching. As much as you wanna do it, and I know, self-discipline will save a lot of time doing without. Thank you for your sharing.
