I'm really confused about the hedge, doesn't selling 15% in the money calls almost guarantee that your shares get called away. I mean, you're already in a great stock with great fundamentals. A true market leader with (canslim characteristics)it is a very high probability that the earnings are gonna be great and the stock is going to rip ,if you're selling calls as a hedge your shares will be called away. I would think that buying the puts prior to earnings would protect your position a lot better. I don't know, what am I missing?

We were speaking about protective puts or bear put spreads over selling CC. However I mentioned collars and depending on your preferred delta strategy you can sell further OTM calls and then can also roll them, if you prefer. Many options with options.

If you keep printing money and issuing debt to drive markets up I guess he can't be wrong. Who benefits from all this are the people who own all the assets . Not sure what happens to the people who can't afford to live or pay bills . I guess universal income will take care of that lol

I think this lady suffers from a positivity bias. That means she never disagrees with what the interviewee says. What is the point of interviewing somebody if you cannot challenge them? At the least it is not recommended that one agrees with everybody else continuously. Jim gets its.

Great minds think alike! Jim is very difficult to disagree with on market analysis based on his vast experiences plus I share similar views. I am an Investment Advisor not just an interviewer or "reporter." Additionally, I invite guests for them to speak THEIR position and thoughts. It is NOT meant to be antagonistic. I always ask deep thoughtful questions. You should watch some of the other episodes as well. Thank you!

@@TheROShowPodcast when Jim was interviewed by IBD he pulled up Irusha for not being more straight forward with facts and said "shame on you, will Bill not have questioned?". It is even more important for investment advisor not to sugarcoat things. Jim himself has admitted that he has killed it only 8 to 9 times and is frequently wrong. So he himself is clarifying his position as he did on IBD. That is why we love him. For transparency.

No one is ever right 100% of the time but this episode was about Jim Roppel and for him to give us his insights unfiltered. (That is what my audience has been requesting - They want to hear directly from JIM on the current market and what to do) This was NOT a show for me to give MY insights. What are you talking about? RO is so respectful and professional. You want her to fight with the people she invites on her show? I have been following her a long time. Some of her shows are discussion and others are interviews. This one is an interview and she did an excellent job of asking a wide spectrum of deep, thought provoking questions. I loved this episode! Jim is a superstar and we want to know his thoughts without interruption. RO did fantastic job!👏 This isn't a low brow argumentive show with interruptions and voice raises. We are here to learn and grow in a professional environment. Thank you Ro! 🙏
