​@@harryshuman9637 tldr it boils down to gayjin incompetence in map design that makes more varied vehicles unnecessary if you're saying that is has no place because its functionally similar to an mbt with no armor and a massive weakspot, thats because of gayjins inability to make an atgm properly function and lack of long range maps to abuse hills like other atgm carriers. if gayjin could make a long range map that wasnt just open field with some buildings #9 instead of a properly designed map for tank and plane combat I feel like more people would enjoy playing the larger maps but gayjin making a good map is about as likely as ground rb getting more reasonable rp earnings also why cant 'no use' event stuff be added when its not a blockade in the hellish ground rb grind? you're not forced to grind it nor use it.

Honestly after finishing the US ground tree a few years ago and playing other nations, a lot of US vehicles are over br-ed today when you compare them to similar vehicles in other nations. Why do they think the jumbo 76 is on par with the tiger 2p? Who knows. Its like that for a lot of tanks

@Batzero8515 the jumbo used to be 5.7 and was perfectly fine where it was. Only reason its higher is because German mains are some of the worst players on average due to how many people play them and they couldn't figure out how to stop it. T34 85 sits at 5.3/5.7 and has better mobility and gun. Jumbos armor shouldn't be the reason its that high when other vehicles are better in more categories

If youve actually played the 2s38 you would know its not as op as everyone says, no survivability you have ammo taking up the whole center of the tank plus the ammo in the turret going up to the breech, you have the only 3 crew all tightly aligned, and you have a massive fuel tank that explodes and kills you when breathed on. On top of that the fire rate of the gun simply isnt fast enough considering how little spall the apfds has, at least with the hstvl its a decently large gun for an ifv creating much more spall. (The 2s38 is also just huge and slow)

I don't think this tank is very good. In some situations, yes, but I find that AGS just does everything better. If they brought it down in BR or made the shells do actual damage, I may revisit it.

@@stevenortiz9008 Wolfpack is actually decently good, just use its mobility to reach flanking spots and you will enjoy playing it, m900 will absolutely shred through most MBTs you’ll face and you have gen 3 thermals

The M10 is probably the only thing that can replace it. But you'd be replacing the small size for a bigger gun. So it's more "Advance Scouting" rather than being a pure scout.

There are options in other tech trees that are way more overpowered (in general and compared to real life) in lower BRs yet for some reason people don’t want the HSTVL to be able to be even JUST realistic to its irl counterpart

@@Iden_in_the_Rain because whats the point of a fat, slow reloading abrams when you have this, extremely fast, "high pen" (there is no way the numbers are real), less than 1.5 sec reload, with he-vt and atgms. It will become the single strongest vehicle in the entire game. The thing bounces top tier apfsds ffs, with ALUMINIUM armor. If you don't see a problem in buffing this then you have the same mindset as a US main.

@@goliath3413 if gaijin’s code makes it so it bounces shells that’s not the tank’s fault (and that’s not a good argument since there are tons of tanks in game that bounce/nonpen/don’t do much when they shouldn’t, the Panther’s mantlet or ANY T-72 or newer T-series Russian tanks). And besides, the firing rate of the HSTVL should be half what it is now (as seen in military documents that aren’t classified to my knowledge, seeing Spookston himself talked about it) in addition to being as strong as the Abrams’ rounds at the time the HSTVL was being tested
