Stock exhaust vs CS Racing slip on for a 2020 Ducati Panigale V4s. Sound is in high quality stereo-so crank the volume up!
I decided to take a risk and buy this exhaust from a relatively small company...but I'm glad I did. The build quality is great, and the shrouds it comes with make it look very integrated with the stock bodywork, which is what I was after. I will say the bike DEFINITELY needs to be dyno tuned, because it lost a significant amount of power in the midrange (makes sense since a slipon is also a cat delete and servo elimination on this bike). Keep an eye out for that video-I already have an appointment!
Installation of the CS Racing slipon was super easy, but getting the stock muffler off was a huge pain. I have 2 complaints with this exhaust-one, it's WAY loud...way louder than any other pipe I've heard in person (Akrapovic, Arrow, Termignoni, SC Project). It does come with removable baffles, but putting them in didn't make it much quieter so I left them out-I'll just ride with earplugs from now on.
As usual, comments are appreciated! Share this video with your friends and follow me on Twitter - Jetstream01!

It's definitely too loud haha but I love it. I don't ride around neighborhoods or through town normally so it's not a problem. Bike doesn't run good with it though and I got the Brentuning flash, worked with them to improve it, and it still didn't run right. Definitely needs a dyno tune.

@jetstream01
@jetstream01 3 жыл бұрын
@@Praetorian27 I would say the Brentuning flash runs better than when they first sent it, but it was still cutting out pretty violently sometimes at low rpm when I got on the throttle, so no it's definitely not there yet. However, some others with the same setup say it runs fine, so I think it may depend on where you live (I'm in California). If I had to do it over again I'd definitely still get the CS exhaust but get it dyno tuned instead of Brentuning. Only reason I didn't do that is because the tuners are all still waiting on a software update in order to actually be able to tune the bike on the dyno.

Appreciate you sticking around! Funny thing is my next door neighbor has a 93 F2 in his driveway right now. Brings back memories. Anyways yes one thing they were notorious for is the regulator/rectifier going out. So if it stops charging, replace BOTH the rectifier and battery at the same time. I had an issue where I replaced only the rectifier and the bad battery killed it and vice versa. You can find a new rectifier on eBay with a large heat sink and it will be fine. Really easy to swap. Other than that it's a great bike, it was awesome until I wrecked it 😑

Brentuning was VERY helpful in that they emailed back and forth with me and kept sending different maps to try based on my feedback. This was years ago so I'm sure the map is a lot better now because this generation of bike was still new back then. Unfortunately I crashed the bike before I really got the tune dialed in. Honestly though, if I did it today, I'd go with a custom dyno tune. Only reason I didn't back when I had the bike was because no one had unlocked the ECU yet.

Oh ok no problem! Build quality is great and in my opinion it's the cleanest looking exhaust for this bike due to the shroud. It looks nice and integrated with the bodywork. It is VERY loud, however, even with baffles in. I like it that way but just be aware that it's much louder than an Akrapovic system for example. Last, you definitely need to update the fuel map for it. I plan on getting it dyno tuned or flashing it myself. It doesn't run very good after putting the exhaust on and lost a lot of midrange power, which is understandable because the catalytic converter and exhaust servo are removed.

Any exhaust that takes the catalytic converter out (like this one) is going to need a remap on this bike. The Ducati doesn't have a good auto tune system like BMW so it can't compensate for the increased airflow on its own. You could always just try it, but mine ran WAY worse without a remap. I went with the Brentuning flash and it still ran badly. I would just get a custom Dyno tune if you can. I couldn't when I had the bike because it wasn't available anywhere yet.

Good question. I went with Brentune because they claimed to be more specific with their tune (as opposed to UpMap which would be a generic map since they don't have one for the CS exhaust) and have better power gains.
