Hi Henrik I really enjoy your podcast. Yes the tone of your voice is wonderful and dreamy. Also, thanks for the little tour of Stockholm. I visit Sweden for first time early August. Congratulations on writing a book. I teach and work with children. This is very important work. Much love and blessings Cindy from California 💗🙌🇸🇪

Hi Henrik 😊 Congrats on your upcoming book! I wish I could have seen your play. It must have been difficult to perform such a long monologue & to relive bullying over & over for so many shows. I’m glad you took a break from it. I’m sure the subject helped many, but I bet it took a toll reliving it. I was a bookseller here in the US for many years, so it was great to see the publishing house & the Astrid Lindgren wall! Enjoy your weekend! ☀️🌼

Hi Henrik ☺,so glad to finally "meet" you! I came across Jonna's recommendation about you and your podcast; life has kept me away from checking it out until now-you seem to be such a genuine man, and your way with connecting to your audience is pretty cool...it feels like you are speaking to me sitting across a cafe table. I too am a writer, so I congratulate you on your upcoming book~2 months from tomorrow! My son was sadly very bullied in elementary school. He was always a head taller than the other boys, blonde and Nordic looking; I wondered if the other boys wanted to attempt to take a "viking" down, but he fought back. He too grew up to be an actor, his specialty is in Shakespearean theatre. He also writes, quite well. But I found it inspiring that you used a negative experience from your own childhood first in the form of a play that sounds great, and now as a book. While I am a big chunk Swedish, I am an American. So my native tongue is English of course, but I hope to learn more Swedish beyond the very few words that I know. In the meanwhile, it would be really nice if your book might be also published in English~I think I can safely say that both my son and I would have interest~maybe more people will express that in time. Oh, I loved your ice cream truck coming around for a treat~so nostalgic! Looking forward to watching more of your videos, and then listening to some podcasts, and maybe in Swedish, to help me learn more. 💙💛

Thank you for your kind message, Karen! I'm touched by your words and appreciate you taking the time to reach out. I'm glad to hear my podcast resonates with you. Creating that personal connection is exactly what I aim for. But it’s hard to know if it works since English isn’t my native language. Congratulations to your son on his acting career, especially in Shakespearean theatre. It's wonderful that he channeled his challenging experiences into something positive and creative. I'm sorry to hear about the bullying he faced. Using difficult past experiences as inspiration for art can indeed be very cathartic and meaningful. I'm happy my work in that vein spoke to you. Regarding my book, we're certainly hoping for an English translation in the future. I'll keep everyone updated on that possibility. Your interest in learning Swedish is admirable! Feel free to practice with my content. And yes, the ice cream truck memories are special - I'm glad that resonated with you too. Thank you for your support. I look forward to sharing more stories and conversations through my various projects. Take care!

Hej Henrik, tusen 😄tak for a very kind reply! Ja, I will try to pop in a few words here and there in Svenska when I comment on your wonderful videos. Please be patient, as I might spell something, or worse, say something, totally wrong~but, I will try to get it right. I thank you for taking the time to write such an eloquent, sweet reply. I am grateful for the dear empathy you expressed in your words about my son and his own experience with bullying. And your great, encouraging words about his acting, meant a lot too. He has gone overseas to Armenia, and there is a fine Shakespeare theatre in Yerevan. I really wish he would send some head shots, and get together an actor's portfolio, then audition. He has played so many lead roles, mostly in the Bard's works, from Macbeth to Marc Antony (he had the whole theatre in tears), so I feel like he is wasting this gift. Also, he loves it! Moms can only say so much.☺ I really wish there was a way for me to view your one man show, but of course, until I get a much better understanding of Swedish, I couldn't understand~I imagine it was marvelous! Well, again, so thankful to Jonna for her helping me, and I know many others, to discover you! I look forward to watching, and listening, to many more of your videos/podcasts Henrik~take good care now~🥰 P.S. Your English is fantastic, no worries!

Hey Henrik, Seeing your video reminded me when I backpacked in Sweden in the 90's on a few seperate occasions. Gamla Stan Stockholm I remember was truly amazing! I never went on the water though,I wish I had .Kayaking would have been great with all the archipelagos! For you to travelling around Sweden and Finland for many years doing 500 plays about your experiences being bullied must have taken a lot of strength. Kudos to you for putting yourself out there like that. Seeing the name 'Astrid Lindgren ' reminded me also that a Swedish friend gave me one of her books to help me learn Swedish. I still have it .I'm going to read it again (more than 20 years ) because Jag kan inte tala svenska much anymore lol Adjo from Australia

That Swedish was good though! ☺️ Great to hear about your adventures in Sweden! 🎒 Gamla Stan is truly magical. Kayaking in the archipelago is amazing, so you should definitely try it next time! Thank you for your kind words and support. Astrid Lindgren is a classic, perfect for refreshing your Swedish skills!
