"Did not expect that our of Muse" when you saw Matt throw his guitar, well he owns the world record for the most guitars smashed on stage, he's been doing it for 20 years 😁
@noneofyourbusiness12353 жыл бұрын
Isn't it a record for guitars smashed in consecutive shows as well? I know Manson's guitars probably didn't find that fun having all the repairs....but then I may have also generated a lot of business for them with fans wanting Manson's customs!
@alexandrelin1203 жыл бұрын
@@noneofyourbusiness1235 The exact record is 140 smashed guitars during the Absolution Tour ;)

I saw them in glastonbury 1999 on the "Other stage" even t them they were destroying stuff at the end (during Showbiz),. I went to all of the Glastonbury festivals between then and 2005 with the regrettable exception of 2004 when I was in the USA and couldn't make it and muse had a killer set as headliners. Headlining in 1999 - rem, manic street preachers, and skunk anasie. I highly recommend the latter.

You'll be surprised by how heavy and metal-ish Muse discography really is. A lot of people are distracted by the fact that the band is too well-dressed to be creating their heavy sound.
@Always-fd7pk3 жыл бұрын
Fun fact regarding Matt's crazy vocal abilities: when he was younger he actually went to see a doctor because nobody could explain the stuff he could do with his voice. The doctor checked his vocal cords and found them to be unusually small for a man. If I remember correctly Matt basically said "I've got a woman's vocal cords"

9:40 during live shows they often do intros and outros that are covers of other band's music. It flows, but it's not actually part of the song, they throw extras like this in at almost every performance. If you look at the setlist for this concert you'll see they did an entire catalogue just in outros for this song "RATM's 'Township Rebellion' + 'Execution Commentary' + Nirvana's 'Endless, Nameless' riffs outro"

I remember trying to get tickets to this show but they were gone in minutes. It’s so rare to be able to see them play small venues like the Mayan, where they aren’t playing just a radio friendly set list, and end up playing a fan’s request for Hyper Music.

9:05 I have a video from BottleRock where the security guard's water bottle was sitting in front of a sub-woofer and was jumping around. I had to stop looking at the band for a minute to record it to hopefully remind myself one day what it felt like to be there. It's just a clip of an outro they played after Stockholm Syndrome once, not a whole song, but I just uploaded it if you want to check it out. Good times! kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHiVlHZ9a9uqqtU

I've rediscovered the (often ignored) Muse album, Hullabaloo. They were frenetic and mental but Dead Star is one of their most metal songs. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYXMd4OYhdeVors
@chrismartin26633 жыл бұрын
Dead star is great, released as a "double a side" to use the old term, with "in your world" the other song. Even on hullabaloo its only on the live set. Yes Please is another overlooked track from there and my favorite on the studio recorded part of hullabaloo, though a close second is the more mellow hyperchondiac music.
