What is the difference in stopping time of the axis between the Envoy and Regent once STOP button is pressed?

If I was to buy the Regent model would it be wise to physically bolt it to the ground? I noticed that the Envoy was on ‘feet’ - is this stable? Thanks

Both the Envoy and Regent come with the heavy levelling feet you noticed in the video. This is very very stable…should be no need to bolt it down unless you are turning some extremely heavy pieces.

What type of spindle lock do these two have for winding bowl blanks on to a wormscrew in a chuck and I do not mean indexing lock, which will break.

Beyond the spindle lock there are 2 options. In front of the threaded spindle there are two flats where a spanner wrench can be used to hold the spindle in place. Also there is a hole through the handwheel where the knockout bar can slide through. With the knockout bar inserted through the hole and up against the motor bracket it will lock the spindle. Hope that makes sense!

I ask because the Coronet Herald doesn't have the two flats you mentioned and the knockout bar, through the handwheel doesn't work for mounting bowl blanks onto a woodworm screw, the problem is the chuck tightens clockwise and the handwheel, on the other end if the same spindle, tightens anticlockwise. The inevitable happens tighten the chuck and unwind the handwheel and bar inserted.

On page 31 in the manual it says 1 230 volt plug one Earth and one ground I've never heard of that how do I wire it. I thought the top two plug prongs for 120 each . And it's a single pole correct? And not a double.

Thank you for the added details on the differences, Ethan! Can you confirm if the actual starting RPM of the Regent is in fact 250 RPM? If so, can any programing adjustments be made to slow it down for sanding & finishing? I can understand the thought of setting a minimum speed due to motor torque & power, for motor protection, but many people will want slower speeds for finishing on the lathe. I'm afraid this will become a dealbreaker for many bowl turners and I've already read a lot of negative thoughts on this min 250 RPM speed on various woodturning forums. Thanks.

Do you know if the dutch envoy (that already has the 220 Volt conversion) also has the eaton inverter or the cheaper inverter?

The minimum rpm on the lathes are different. 250 rpm on the regent 80 on the envoy. Can you explain how this might become an issue. When does one needs

Hi Ethan, I just have a Coronet Envoy delivered yesterday. After the assembly, I run the lathe and try all the buttons with the mobile command. Everything works well. Then I hit the stop button situated on the electric box under the bed. It stop the lathe as intended. But then, when I hit the start button on the box, no light, no electricity from that moment until now. What could be a problem ? and how to fix it ?. To be sure, I plug the powercord to other places where there is power for sure ( the lamp light , plugged in the same place is lighted). Thank you for your help. Hoa Nguyen
