Long overdue on this upgrade.... Thank you Felix from Record power and Peter from Tobi slovenia for making this possible.... I did get a great discount but still payed for it so you can excpect honest review in 6 months or so.......
My old lathe found its new home and this deal was possible beacuse I really like my old lathe and trust the brand on the new one.....
On next video we will process some Osage orange logs and should be fun to see the lathe in action.....

Hi Tomislav, I've been watching your videos for a while now and I noticed that you changed your lathe at some point. Coincidentally, your old lathe is the same one I bought a month ago to start turning. I'm glad to see what wonderful things you've created with the DML 320. It confirms that I didn't do anything wrong when I bought the lathe. Now I have finally found the video in which you introduce your new lathe. I can imagine that you were very happy. I was able to learn a lot from your videos. Especially your beginner videos were very informative. I look forward to many new videos from you and wish you a lot of fun with your new lathe. Stay healthy. Many greetings from Andreas from Germany, who is currently on holiday in Pula. We love Croatia

Hello Andreas, glad to hear that you are in Pula, have a great holiday🤗... Thank you very much for kind words and time you took to watch my videos. Dml320 is a great lathe, I made a lot if things on it, works like charm.... My new lathe will be old as hopefully its leaving, its s great lathe and I'll do review in few days. I have another lathe coming which will be quite interesting.... Size of dml320😉...more soon... You did great purchase and you'll enjoy turning on it. Once again thank you and greetings from Zagreb

@@tomislavtomasicwoodturning Hi Tomislav, thanks for your quick reply (must have been in the middle of the night 😴). Your confirmation of my purchase decision means more to me than the seller's descriptions. I have one more question. What kind of wax is it that you often use right after applying the linseed oil? I mean that brown "lump" that you always use. Thank you very much for your answer. I am not sure, wat you mean by "My new lathe will be old as hopefully its leaving" but i will stay tuned 👍. We are enjoying our holiday here as much as ever. We have been caravanning regularly in Croatia for 20 years now. Unfortunately we have to return home on Thursday. I drink a beer with your name on it to your health 🍻. Greetings Andreas

Hello, thank you for watching, I will do a review after I spend more time on it, .... There are few things that I dont like, mostly are fit and finish and how I feel erginomicly at it.... But I do this 6-7hours a day so some stuff bothers me that hobby turner might not even see.... That being said for the money I did not find better machine.... 2hp motor and the size , it does not have competition in that price range, and there are quite a lot of sales on it so you can save even more money..... If you are on butget go for it....👍
@WollesWoodArt
@WollesWoodArt Жыл бұрын
@@tomislavtomasicwoodturning - Dear Tomislav, the RP DML 320 is simply too light for larger bowls. I also had to modify it technically in several places to make it more stable. As a construction expert, I then immediately exchanged the slotted screw of the quill for harder steel. The locking screw on the handwheel on the right also always slips. here a notch had to be ground into the quill. To change the V-belt, the screws had to be constantly loosened with an Allen key on the small front door at the bottom and the plastic cover at the top. I also changed that with a handle to open it. The cheap locking screw on the spindle hand wheel always came loose and was changed. My concern is whether your new CORONET REGENT machine has not shown any serious errors to date. Thank you in advance and I keep checking the way you work. It's fun to watch and I wish you continued success.

@@WollesWoodArt thank you very for wishes, to you as well as your family wish all the best..... Regent I have for couple of months now and no error yet, and I do put it through its paces, there is a big differents in dml and regent, I think you will be happy with regent,but if you have the butget don't over look some other brands that are a bit more money but there fit and finish is slithly better..... I got a good deal and liked my dml320 so I went with regent.... So far so good but bear in mind I have it for 2months so proper test will be in winter where another 500 to 1000 rough out bowls will be made.....
