Tax brackets will be higher in the future; as soon as 2 yrs from now when the existing ones are replaced. I believe Roths should be the first ones used until you max them out. Then use the tax advantage ones.

The Trinity study was completed with a maximum time horizon of 30 years. Does anybody know if anybody has updated the Trinity study with more recent data and expanded the time horizon to be more than 30 years? I think this would make it more relevant for early retirees. Thank you!

Thanks again and as ALWAYS you two. I've been at my job nearly 23 years and from Day1 I made maximum contributions to every retirement product available. What I did not do was break those funds out into various investment products until I started listening to good investment advice on youtube. I was able to establish a quorum from several reliable resources here including yourselves. It was sad to see young people in the comments bashing these KZbinrs through 2022, personally I doubled my efforts and this year I've been rewarded for it.

Hi, I need a video on rebalancing? My 401k auto rebalances and for the last 3 years since it started I only gained about 1%. It was at 85/15 stock to bond. 3 months ago I did a custom allocation to be 100% stocks focusing on MidCap, large cap and total stock market and just in that three months my total overall has now gained 7%. This tells me I did the right thing and the Trinity study does say that 100% stocks does the best but I guess I am still learning on really what rebalancing it is and what all that I just did. Lol. Thanks!

Thanks for the video suggestion!!! Rebalancing is really important to help maintain your original asset allocation. So, even if you have 100% stocks, the way you allocate your stock investment can shift over time (due to market fluctuations). 😀

My problem is I’m a little too tolerant to the swings. I have no idea when to sell so I just hold on and accumulate. Overall it can be a good thing in the right positions but sometimes it’s not.
