Quick look at the Stoeger Condor Over and Under shotgun. 26" barrels 3' chamber made in Brazil with grade A American walnut stock. Its a great shotgun for bustin birds, clays, or rabbits. It is capable of handling practically any field task you give it.

Good video...right up to the point where you threw the shells into the weeds...only reason I won't subscribe. It pisses me off (and is one reason I don't let people hunt my land) to find shells all over the place on my land...gives shooter another vulnerability with tree hugging, leaf eating leftists when they can show we are also negatively impacting the environment.

I fell in love with my condor the second i pulled the trigger once. We got married the second time i pulled it. (Not really, i just really like my condor) sure its not as fancy as other shotguns. But it just does what it does and doesn't care what other shotguns think. It looks great too. Its really well built and just the over under look in general is awesome. People have problems with it for not having all the fancy stuff other shotguns have. But i love it just the way it is.

It's a great entry level OU! After owning it all this time and sending more than its fair share of lead and steel through it, I am thoroughly impressed for the price. Stoeger has earned a place in my heart annnnd my collection lol. I have since slightly retired the girl and am currently looking for a replacement. She is working just fine but I have about put her to her limit and I'm not trying to destroy it. Thanks for watching!

I just bought a like-new used one of these (12-gauge), and it is a heavy gun, compared to my single-shot Stevens 301, which means it ought to have less felt recoil, especially if I run buck or slug through it. I have not yet had opportunity to actually shoot it.

How is the weight of this gun compared to the one you normally used for sporting clays? Also how many chickens came with it and can you buy more? If so do they have to be a certain kind?

Hey there I liked your video. I'm thinking about getting a stoger condor myself. Also I just wanted to ask. Are you safe throwing those clays that close to a power line? I might be looking at it weird but I hope you are safe if it is a bit close.
@hammertactical7505
@hammertactical7505 7 жыл бұрын
The camera angle makes it look a lot closer than what they are lol I've been shooting there for about 25 years in which I've had the game warden and multiple officers out there and no one has mentioned it being unsafe yet. Although, one day i was on an elevated shooting platform in the back of a truck and it started to rain a little and I felt to close to them at that point. Anyway, thanks for the care. It's a great gun. I think you will enjoy it without regrets!

Unlike the prettier Turkish imports. The Stoegers have been around for year, so parts are readily available if you break something. If you are only planning on hunting with it a few times a year, it will serve you well for many years. But if competition is your game and you are planning on shooting 1,000s of rounds each year. Spend the money on a Beretta/Browning etc.... because you can replace the parts that wear and loosen up. That is not possible with a budget o/u when you build for a price point.

After all the years of abuse that I have put it through, she is still up and running. It has had some issues with not wanting to reset and fire the next round after the first shot but it's not too overly complicated to fix it. Small design flaw and I am working on a way to permanently fix it. May do a video later but after several thousand rounds of abuse, I'm still very happy with it.

I bought a 12 gauge Condor five days ago. Took it out this morning and shot two boxes of Federal Dove & Quail at my club's skeet range. Brought it home. Took it apart to clean the barrel. Put it together and now the trigger does not work! Took it back to Cabela's, it would not work for them either. They are sending it back. I've fired more using my 1896 Sauer & Sohn shotgun and it still works. I asked Stoeger how long it will take to fix a gun under warranty. They replied, "22 weeks."
@hammertactical7505
@hammertactical7505 3 жыл бұрын
That is really extremely misfortunate! I have fired thousands and thousands of rounds through mine and have never had that issue. I did have an issue where it wouldn't fire from the top barrel but that was easily fixed by cleaning out a hole and a lubing the spring. I have used and abused mine and she keeps on ticking. 22 weeks is really a long turn around period and I'd imagine it will be quicker but they want to leave some wiggle room. I'm not sure but I wonder if it has to go back to Brazil for the repair?

Hey, thanks for the video. Quick question; I bought the youth 20 gauge model for my son and the safety needs to be clicked off again inbetween each shot. Is this a safety feature or is the recoil causing it to get turned back on? I cannot seem to find an answer, but it does get annoying having to click the safety off inbetween shots
@hammertactical7505
@hammertactical7505 4 жыл бұрын
That's a really good question, however I do not believe this would be a safety feature. It sounds like recoil is causing a malfunction. I would contact Stoeger but it sounds like a bad spring to me.

@@hammertactical7505 seems this is a common issue with these guns. Happened first time using it. I dry fired a few times last night and no issues, however under recoil I'm thinking pin or spring is not doing it's job. Stoeger seems like a decent gun but I've heard machining issues is a common problem. Thanks for the response
@hammertactical7505
@hammertactical7505 4 жыл бұрын
At its price point its fantastic. I have seen some minor issues with them and have heard problems here and there but I haven't heard of anything that rendered them inoperable or wasn't easily fixed. I had a minor issue with the pin and spring not recocking under recoil. It was an easy fix with removing some debris and using some CLP but yeah. Its slightly expected at its price point. Hope everything gets narrowed down and fixed for ya.

ya, I get it, It's either leave them here or send'em there. I thought it looked like to be a state park or state forestry. I had just came back from a state forestry and found a pile of 500 or more spent casings left alone with the boxes and shit. It was a bad assumption on my part, my apologies. I still had that on my mind when i saw your vid. On the lighter side, I own this gun also. And despite alot of bad reviews from some, I've had zero problems with it as well. I've eliminated the auto safety, that was about the only complaint I had. I wasn't a fan of the bottom barrel as the 1st fire, do loading singles, but it's manageable i guess. I also think it is a tremendous value for an entry level shooter or a alternate gun. Your review was well done by the way.

It's all good. I recently ran into an issue where it was nearly impossible to break down. Turned out there was a bunch of corrosion behind the take down pin. I shot some penetrating oil down there and used a drill bit by hand to break it up then hosed it out with oil. I have dumped a lot of HB #1 through it and she has had a few hiccups here and there but all in all she is a great gun. Thousands of rounds. Thanks for the view!

You really can't go wrong with this gun. My only issue with it is the fact that you can't choose which barrel fires first due to the lack of selector switch. I've noticed I tend to use this more than my Ithica or Browning. Switching the chokes around and going to a full and a modified was a great choice for me. Slays birds and dusts clays. I really recommend the Condor by Stoeger.

Have you had any problems with the shotgun?
@hammertactical7505
@hammertactical7505 5 жыл бұрын
So far....yes. I have had issues where it didn't want to break down and I've had issues where it wouldn't reset and fire the second shot. This was however after several thousand rounds (5k+). It's a simple maintenance issue taking it apart and cleaning out a hole where carbon build up and gunk likes to reside but other than that, no issues. I would say it was just issues caused by abuse. If I cleaned it after every use, I'm sure I wouldn't have ran into the problems that I did. I still heavily recommend this gun! thanks for watching!

Nice review. Cabela's has them on sale for $299.97 after $50 rebate. Looks like a good deal. I know when we are hunting sometimes we loose an empty shell now and then, but I recommend picking up our empties whenever possible. Just throwing them out into the tall grass is irresponsible.

I have been shooting there for almost 30 years and I have always thrown my empties down there. Its big nasty rocks and railroad cinders down there. it'll be fine.
