5:30 -6:00 is the preferred position for the locking lever on most o/u shotguns. When they wear, they go to 8:00 position.

I'm glad I watched this video of yours 2 weeks ago I had just purchased an over and under 12 gauge Stoeger shotgun double defense and when I got it home and put it together I was wondering the same thing about the release why it was sort of off to the side so I opened it and closed it about five times and I kept wondering why it wouldn't go straight but at least I see it on your gun that's the way it's supposed to be. Thanks for doing this video I feel a lot better now.

I got one of these too, but with the synthetic stock since it was cheaper than the wood stock, though I would have got the latter if they were the same price. It was my first break action, but then I ordered a single shot about a month later, so now I have two! I haven't had a chance to shoot either, but they are oiled and ready to go when I can get to the range. I did a video on both them, feel free to check them out if you're interested. I have a condor 12 ga and I was patterning my shot and found out it shoots high and left. Nice gun other than that

I've had an 1100 since the 80's also... just something about it.... Bout to jump to O/U also as my father recently passed.

I’ve had the same issue of light strike on the lower barrel. Stoeger stayed quiet. Must be a known issue.

I’m familiar with the operation of a double barrel shotgun because I have a friend who is a firearm instructor but I have never owned or shot a gun of this action before. Is there any compensation with aiming correctly since it is a double barrel or is the sight alignment and sight picture the same as firing a single barrel shotgun?

I have an Stoeger Condor Supreme, it’s a really good gun, strong and reliable, you can’t go wrong with it, mine has more than 5000 rounds and still working great, I use it for sporting clays and trap shooting, it’s made in Brazil and way better than any of the Turkish scrap that are currently flooding the market

I'm considering buying this stoger. Very cheap this week 299 on cyber sale.. I've read the issue on the second shot is actually due to a week spring for the trigger to properly reset I guess? What did you find?

I have had it happen only a couple of times, so it's hard to diagnose.

Its from weaker loads not cycling the internal rebounding hammer. As it wears in it is much less of an issue. You can use game loads, or heavier feild loads to wear it in faster. Its common on cheaper guns.

How’s the recoil? I’ve been using a 20 gauge when I go for skeets.

I'm going to trade the 12 gauge for a 20 gauge for skeet

It’s actually a pretty decent gauge. It has lighter recoil but the only downside is the pellet count is a lot less than that of a 12. I’d go with number 9 shot if you can find it available and either an IC choke or skeet choke.

As someone who owns a much older model, mine does not have extractors. It will pop the shells up, but you need to either grab them out, or tip it upside down

Your not giving yourself a fair chance at breaking in this Stoeger. I see your shooting at handicap distance, 26 yards, most trap shooters shoot at the 16 yard line.
