Hey, love what you're doing with your channel. It's awesome! Love the Stoeger, trying to find myself one. Anyways, keep up the good work.

I have the 20 gauge and like it a lot. I use it for hunting upland birds but will use it with I/C chokes in both barrels for slug deer hunting . I maintain a 5 inch group at 50 yards with it using only the bead on the end of the barrel and Federal rifled slugs not their true ball slug.
@ChrisParrishOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
I know I thought I'd need to get a fiber optic, but the bead seems to work just fine.

Thinking about the 20 kyself,use primarily a12 570 now and want to switch to a 20.Glad to hear about that slug grouping.

Can you do this with the 20” barrel coach gun? (Fire both barrels) I never owned a double barrel before, only a pump and lever action
@ChrisParrishOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
If the shotgun has two triggers your usually can. In the video I actually pull two triggers at once to fire both barrels. Generally speaking an overunder has one trigger so you can't choose which barrel fires and side by sides have a trigger for each barrel more often. Obviously each model is different, but check if there's an independent trigger for each barrel. I like having the independent triggers because you can set different chokes in each barrel and choose which one to fire based on the target at the moment.

how does it feel on the clays/birds?
@ChrisParrishOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Not sure. I'd say you would have to ask the clays, but they are all broken up about it ;) Haha, but seriously I went clay shooting the weekend after this and it worked great. If you're looking for a budget hunting/target shotgun I definitely recommend it.

You may have the Uplander Supreme version, they are single trigger. The Uplander Field has two triggers, both are great shotguns.

@daveweed27653 жыл бұрын
Not really. It ain't that bad really. But yeah it has a little kick with high brass but low brass bird and target loads not too bad. Yeah it has a kick especially wit 00 buck but not as much as a single shot break open. That kinda' hurts when you are 10.

Longfowler is 30 inch barrel with extended chokes. The uplander comes in 26in or 28 inch and internal chokes. I'm sure the Longfowler is a good shotgun too, just different preferances!

You should NEVER get in the habit of closing a double gun while the barrels are pointed over your shoulder, where you can't see who might be walking up behind you. There's a lot of VERY old double barrel shotguns around, which don't have the modernized safety mechanisms of newer ones. And it's easy, through force of habit, to play out the same habit with an old gun which could result in the firearm going off upon slamming it shut. Of course, normally this won't happen. However, parts wear over time, and mechanisms become faulty. But don't worry. It's just possibly a human life at risk. ---And NOT your own. So you're ENTITLED to have it your way. Mmmmmm... kinda' like insisting on making a fashion-statement, with those sunglasses from 1982. Ok fine! ---To hell with gun safety. It's your fu****g lack of fashion sense that burns me up!!!!!! I CANNOT TAKE IT!!!!! I CANNOT TAKE IT!!!!! I CANNOT TAKE IT!!!!!
