For the followers of Stoke City, it was a chance to revel in the magical skills of such players as Greehhoff, Ritchie, Conroy, Hudson, Crooks, Thomas and McIlroy and to savour great wins against the so called ‘elite’.

Tony waddington's stoke team should have won the title in 74-75. They played fabulous football and had some great players.
