WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT Dermatologist Phan Ho Hoa My, from Bac Lieu, Vietnam, gently pop the pimple, which was lying next to the unnamed patient's ear, only for it to rush out in a steady stream, with the doctor squealing in disgust. The procedure then carried on for more than a minute, with the medic being forced to use a needle to burst the blemish, causing a mixture of pus and blood to rush out.

@bigbadbillb Accutane became a big deal for teens because it could increase their depression, self inflicted injuries or worse, and fatal deformities in children. It was discontinued in 09. A few people committed very serious infractions while using accutane, which didn't help their image. Today, there are several alternative options

Mazi, I think your sympathy does you credit. Men often don't feel the need to keep up with the aesthetics the way we girls do, also I think some have so many places to put each dollar for their family and so on. And this is a pity because I use a skin care routine that costs almost nothing and I'm 62 years old and I have a lovely skin (I think - maybe others don't!) From the age of eighteen I've used a little sugar each week with lathered soap to exfoliate and for cream I make my own from a recipe given to me by an old lady who, when she died at 91, had a skin like fine china. The recipe was used by HER mother and makes 1.5kg face cream so I always have some to give as gifts to friends. I really think women spend far too much money on face care. Money they could use for other things. And men could use this too, I believe.

@@suecollins3246....Thank you for your compliment. It really does break my heart when I see people with such severe acne.I know all too well how it feels physically and emotionally. I had bad acne as a teen, but my mother was not attentive to medical problems. Thankfully it went away by 20. My son developed cystic acne as a teen.Within a months time he went from normal skin to painful cystic acne.I took him to a Dermatologist asap at Duke University where we lived at that time.I refused to let him suffer any more than he had to.He was on Accutane for 9mo with success. My youngest daughter had moderate acne that was treated with birth control pills. Most acne is actually a hormonal imbalance and can also be hereditary. Both kids now in their 30's occasionally still have mild breakouts, but nothing major. Ironically my older daughter is just like my husband with beautiful skin. They both have green eyes, olive skin & dark hair. My other two are like me, very fair skin qith blue eyes.My son is blond & my daughter has light golden brown hair.I'm Auburn and like people many with fair skin I also have Rosacea. I really hope my kids don't inheriate that too.

@@mazieg7072 DO. NOT. MENTION. THE. WORD. ROSAECEA. TO. ME. I had it when I was in my forties but I think menopause helped although I see that I get a little patch here to the right of, and just above my mouth. The first time I was on treatment I was on antibiotics for 6 weeks with an ointment. Do you have a cat? I have an idea rubbing the face against the cats cheek where the scent marking glands are might aggravate it. Your children sound lovely.

@@suecollins3246 ...I don't have the red skin type, lucky me.(full scarcasm) I would rather have some color.I have the acne type. LOL I find that so ironic.I take Doxycycline when I have a big flare up,but can not use the atb creams they dry my skin so badly it peels like after bad sun burn & itched so bad it's not worth it. No cats, but I have 3 grandkitties.I never noticed any diff after around them tho. I do have 3 Pom's,but have had dogs my entire life. They found rosacea is from skin mites.I have the ocular Rosacea also.Makes my eyes real itchy, but with my allergies what's the difference?! LOL I have spent a small fortune trying anything & everything to help my Rosacea, but most made it worse or had no effect. I am just so lucky to have ultra sensitive allergic skin. lol BUT I did find something that is helping and helping majorly! I could kick myself tho.I was a NA for yrs and knew all the pros & benefits of B12 yet completely forgot until about 5weeks ago.So I started taking 2000 MG daily. Within 5/6 days I had no new outbreaks, anything already there started cleaning up fast,I was not as itchy & my skin is much less dry.I am elated to say the least!! I also change pillow cases every other night, but I've done that for about 4yrs anyway. But there's a thought if you haven't tried it..B12 also helps in other areas which I'm appreciating.I just can't believe I forgot about the benefits of B12.I told my kids also, but kids being kids..even in their 30's they poo-poo'ed me.That will give me a fresh pass for a..I told ya so later on. They’re like the cups they sometime use with massage or boils. They stick them over the area of infection and and twist until they are sealed to the skin and it creates a natural suction effect which brings the pus to the surface. There are videos of people making homemade ones by heating up the opening of a glass bottle, then sticking it over a boil and just leaving it to draw out the infection.
