A Jazz Supergroup. (No lie: All three of them had been sidemen with Elvin Jones; two of them with Miles Davis; and individually, with Willie Bobo, Woody Herman, Lou Rawls, and BS&T, among others.) This is a really interesting treatment of my most favorite Stevie Wonder song, so harmonically rich (and so intelligently played) that you can hear the chord changes... ...even though there is no chordal instrument among the three of them, playing those changes. I'm glad that Don Alias, on congas, gets so much attention from the director of this footage: Most music vids don't really focus on the percussionist all that much, let alone on one with the virtuosic musicianship that he shows here.
