Song #3 Stone Sour If you take a step towards me You will take my breath away So I'll keep you close And keep my secret safe No one else has ever loved me No one else has ever tried I never understood How much I could take Then I saw the worst was over When I laid my eyes on you It was all that I could do to know my place Out of all the vast illusions Out of all the dreams come true I was gone until I finally saw your face If you cried out for more If you reached out for me I would run into the storm Just to keep you here with me I have gone beyond my years I've wasted half my life But I found it all in you Did I save you? 'Cause I know you saved me too Let me take a step towards you Let me feel you in my hands Let me cross this line And show you where it leads There's a darkness down inside me That I know we'll both enjoy And it's screaming from within To set it free I have left this bloody nightmare In my wake, bored out of time And I won this deviation by design Out of all the past confusion Out of all the common spite Just tell me I am yours 'Cause you are mine And if you cried out for more If you reached out for me I would run into the storm Just to keep you here with me I have gone beyond my years I've wasted half my life But I found it all in you Did I save you? 'Cause I know you saved me too It doesn't really matter what you do or say I'm never going anywhere anyway 'Cause when I'm dying for you I've never felt so alive If you cried out for more If you reached out for me I would run into the storm Just to keep you here with me I have gone beyond my years I've wasted half my life But I found it all in you Did I save you? They only became big after Corey has been in Slipknot for 5 years. Before then, they were quite unknown and the band wasn't even producing any music from 1997 to 2002, therefore, I do believe that Slipknots success helped a fair bit to push Stone Sour closer to fame

This song I first heard when it came out. It was a bad time in my life, everything I knew fell apart. Piece by piece everything I put value on was stripped away. This song got filed away in my brain because at the moment it was describing something that I could only hope for and at that time any hope that didn't come to fruition would of ended me. Two weeks ago I found an old friend, someone I had dated back when I was in high school. I'm going to age myself here and now it was over 30 years ago. I reached out and she reached back and it was like we had never broken up. We remember everything and why it did end but we both told each other that when it happened it didn't feel over at the time more like we had just hit pause. Being with this woman now I've never felt this complete ever and she has said the same. She told me after she had listened to this song " This is something you would of told me." This is a song that defines the growing relationship between her and I down to a tee.

Corey Taylor is the best!! He's such an inspiration!! His lyrics have sooooo much meaning it almost hurts me cause I know this song has a lot to deal with him losing Paul Grey. Although RIP Paul Grey this song goes out to you and anyone who's ever lost anyone!! I just love how Corey Taylor turns hurt into such an inspiration and that he has such an impact on lives today that look up to him as the lead singer of stone sour and slipknot that they almost forget what he went through to even get inspiration for his music. Funny how this world works for musicians, no matter how much pain they endure they can turn it into a master piece that people just fall in love with. People don't just look at his lyrics and think nothing, almost everyone watching this video was somewhat affected emotionally.

"No one else has ever loved me, no one else has ever tried..." - This song is obviously written from the point of view of the green bean, looking for someone to love them. We can understand this because nobody likes green beans. "Then I saw the worst was over When I laid my eyes on you It was all that I could do to know my place" - Here we see the green bean's relief upon seeing someone about to take them home from off the shelf, knowing they were coming up on expiration. The green beans could hardly contain their joy. "Out of all the vast illusions Out of all the dreams come true I was gone until I finally saw your face" - The vast illusions spoken of here refer to being told for years that people would love them at thanksgiving dinner, while always knowing their final destination was the trash, after spending a week in the refrigerator; also confirming the feelings expressed in the previous verse. "If you cried out for more If you reached out for me I would run into the storm" - This is the green bean expressing the desire for the consumer to come back for a second helping, and being will to "run into the storm" which we can understand to be the stomach, churning, tossing the green beans about, as if on stormy waters. "I have gone beyond my years I've wasted half my life But I found it all in you Did I save you? 'Cause I know you saved me too" - Again, we see the green beans expressing their joy in being found even after they had "gone beyond my years" or as we know to be, expiration; this is confirmed with "I've wasted half my life". Then we see the green beans rejoicing over finding all of their joy in the finality of digestion: "But I found it all in you", and asking if they (the green beans) saved the consumer, implying that they had many nutrients to offer. This song IS about green beans.

I rethought my life, I've seen things about myself I never noticed before and I eventually fixed the mistakes I made that caused trouble to that girl. there are only a few Bands with such a talented LeadSinger. Corey has it all, Shouting, Growling,Screaming, and of Course a very smooth Singing Voice. i listen to Slipknot since 1999, and discovered by myself, he's got a Band called Stone Sour beside his MainProject... listen to it and was totally stoked.

Lyrics:) If you take a step towards me You will take my breath away So I'll keep you close And keep my secret safe No one else has ever loved me No one else has ever tried I never understood How much I could take Then I saw the worst was over When I laid my eyes on you It was all that I could do to know my place Out of all the vast illusions Out of all the dreams come true I was gone until I finally saw your face If you cried out for more If you reached out for me I would run into the storm Just to keep you here with me I have gone beyond my years I've wasted half my life But I found it all in you Did I save you? Loudwire described this song as a "melodic rocker with huge hooks". The verses have Corey Taylor softly singing over somber, gloomy guitar chords, until the song erupts into a more intense and hopeful sounding chorus, with more layers of melodic guitar and a sing-song melody. Journalists noted that the song was a more melodic, accessible song compared to the band's other initial single from Hydrograd - "Fabuless". Billboard described the song as an "...emotive cut with a driving style that’s similar to Stone Sour’s Mainstream Rock Songs No.1s 'Say You'll Haunt Me' (2010) and Tired' (2014)." Despite the more radio-friendly sound, frontman Corey Taylor states that the song does not feature any auto-tune or pitch-correction. Despite the song's title, it is actually the fifth track on its respective album, and has no relation thematically to the similarly named Song 2 from Blur. Lyrically, Taylor described it as a love song, stating "'Song #3' is actually about a certain kind of love that I don’t think songwriters really talk about. It’s that strong passionate love but also that undying love. That really, really good s-t, you know? Everybody talks about the sappy stuff, everybody talks about the sexy stuff, but there’s that middle section where one meets the other and you just never know which way it’s going to tip at any given moment. This song topped the US Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart in June 2017, where it held the top spot for 5 consecutive weeks.
