LYRICS
Come one and all and see the broken man
Talking to himself
He sits and waits for something better
He'll never find it here
The people touch his hair
And pinch his cheek, he can't even feel it
There it goes again, he's listening to someone
He hears the bitter laughter
And all he wants to know is
Why, does any of it matter?
(I can't take it anymore)
You've gotta try
The inhale that makes the exhale so much better
He wipes his hands on anything in reach
He never feels clean
He shakes at night because his nerve is gone
Every muscle hurts
Come one and all and see what happened
That broken man is me
There it goes again, I can hear it louder
It doesn't feel good anymore
All I want to know is
Why, does any of it matter?
(I can't take it anymore)
You've gotta try
The inhale that makes the exhale so much better
Now I know I disappear
I can't find my way from out of here
Everything is fading on me
Someone tell me
Someone tell me
Someone tell me
Why, does any of it matter?
(I can't take it anymore)
You've gotta try
The inhale that makes the exhale so much better
Why, does any of it matter?
(I can't take it anymore)
You've gotta try
The inhale that makes the exhale so much better
Why? You've gotta try.

I was homeless for 2 years due to an ex and I breaking up after a long relationship. I am disabled and at the time I was still fighting social security for my check. He basically let his mother throw me out of the house because we were living with her and instead of coming with me like he should have he laid up in his mom's house telling me how he loved me which was a bullshit lie. I hate how people judge homeless people. It's a huge misconception that we all did something to put ourselves out there or that we were all alcoholics or drug addicts. I hope that this will bring some awareness to the homeless epidemic and make people realize that they homeless are people too they're just down on their luck. God bless you for this Corey Taylor. You're awesome! I finally got to see Slipknot 2 years ago at a festival called Welcome to Rockville. You guys were amazing and blew the roof off the place. And there wasn't even a roof to blow off LOL. I hope that you continue to make great music for many years to come.

@@rebeccamcguire4189 I am so sorry that I just now saw this. I am sorry that you had to go through that and you are so right, I don't think the stigma will ever go away. People unfortunately also think that people who are addicted or alcoholics are bad people. This is not the truth. I do not blame homeless people for doing that stuff, they got to do something to escape their life. It's like I said, they need to realize that homeless people are also people and stop treating them like the scum-of-the-earth. I actually saw a post on Reddit where this guy was saying that he hated homeless people and that he wished I could just round them all up and send them somewhere where no one ever had to look at them again. He said don't get me wrong, I will help them out if they need it but I'm tired of looking at them. I was speechless, I told him that he needed to save his judgment because he was likely a paycheck or two away from the same thing happening to him. People don't care.

Why can't we get good grungy melodic songs with good lyrics anymore? I miss the 80's, 90's and early'00s. Music was made and not manufactured.

Corey in this video looks like he could have fit in seamlessly into the Lord Of The Rings movies. He looks like he should be one of the Riders of Rohan, lol! The song's great too, I just had to point out Corey's look in this video.
