I just found this video, and it's very well done! Having been in the masonry/concrete business when I was a younger man in the early-mid 70s, I enjoyed watching how it's done today. Whatever the chutes couldn't reach, they moved around in that motorized "cart"; we used to move around in wheelbarrows! It took us a bit longer, and we couldn't make the Polaks who ran the show happy if they had to wait 30 seconds for the next load! It was the definition of manual labor, and believe it or not, there were Americans who were willing to do the work! I was paid well over minimum wage at $4.00/hr. (When the minimum was $2.10). So, at 19, I felt like I was killing it! Of course, a bottle of Bud was a buck and a half, so it's all relative. (My oh my, how the system has failed us all since then!!!) Looks great, Josh!

I've heard that line from someone I worked with in regards to the concrete cracking at the cuts. Needless to say my grandfather poured concrete on the side growing up and the patio at my grandma's house as well as my mom's are both older than me. WITHOUT cracks. I'm 36. Use that for reference. My grandfather has passed and that breed of Craftsmanship is long gone.

This brings back memories of last summer and the pouring our 12' by 84' by 4" thick patio and 45' by 65' by 6" thick driveway. It was done on three days. Two loads for the patio and six for the driveway. The ratchet heads they have for the mag floats and Fresno floats are amazing. I wish we had those 25 years ago when my brother and I were working concrete. Up here in Idaho we put four coats on to keep any moisture from freezing in the concrete.

I like the tan, but anyway that's because what we did that on our 6" (2X6's) divided driveway was sprinkle a 5 gallon bucket of coloring up and down over top after pouring. And scratch it in. Beats boring grey. See it didn't make sense to use to color the whole pad. My old dog Daisy has her foot print on it! WOOOOOO~ thanks Josh fun.

most simple way I can explain it...the base concrete color is tan, the part that is stamped has red accents (color release) otherwise it would just be grey concrete with red v/s a more natural looking tan color

Brian's Farming is in the process of having a house built. They had his cousin a concrete contractor poor a back porch(and front porch, as well as their new mega shop) that they did in dyed stamped concrete that failed the first time. Some areas weren't setting up properly and others were setting too fast??? Idk, I just know they had to tear it all out and do it again. Supposedly it was the fault of the supplier and they ate the cost.
