Thanks for the video, was fun seeing you guys drive through my home state. Just remember, Jackson isn't really WY ;) It's more like a little annex of California in the middle of our state. Our winters can be brutal for sure, but we actually get less snow than you'd think. We tend to have 3-4 major storms over winter, essentially getting it all in one lump sum. The worst of it is the WIND. It's nothing to see 50-70 mph winds for days at a time. Gets really aggravating and can making driving really difficult. Semi trucks get blown over all the time.

Thats how I do my cords, but never thought to change the coil pattern with the hose. I'll give it a try when it gets warmer. This hose was very stiff and likes to stay in it's originally packaged coil. It's a stiff hose even when its warm out, but if change the coil, put some velcro straps on it and lay it in the sun, it might stay that way. Thanks for the tip! Hello , nice couple and no pets that’s better to get around , pets should be grounded in one place not live like nomads , speaking of Nomads , all that mud and grime you managed to clean off the wheels , did you sweep up the mess in the parking lot ? I guess you did because you don’t look like slobs and seem to be very respectful people , when I park , I have a habit of making the place where I stayed for the time I was there look like there was no trace of human activity this way the next person would have no issues sharing that same spot . I like camping but camping for me is being able to survive with less than I-need and use in a domestic situation, going without a shower , going without cable internet, going without three coarse meals and a lot of other amenities makes me thankful and stronger , but there are times on camping trips I love to do the exact opposite and go to town spoiling myself , like hit a casino , go for a hot jacuzzi and eat a buffet hot meal , but one thing I couldn’t go with out is my coffee with milk only lol ha ha ha thank you all the best have an awesome day 😊

($6-12) We use outside hand wash, clean muddy tires, fire pit extinguisher, even wash back steps/door. Has an adjustable spray tip to direct fog or straight stream as desired. Bonus idea: Bought propane sensor at Ace to watch out level. (Mopeka $35) monitoring by Bluetooth. Went to bed at 11% with lows at 35° and now at 1% on day 3. Ready to switch tanks soon as it empties or at bedtime. Safe journey!

First time here. We enjoyed your video, we have a 2019 F350 and a 2020 Arctic Fox 811. We enjoy truck camper traveling, though we live full time in East Texas on our 25 acre homestead. Wyoming is one of the states we have enjoyed a lot, especially YNP and GTNP, absolutely beautiful.

Welcome to our channel! Where in Texas? We have friends living near Granbury. Such a beautiful place! And yeah, this was our first time visiting Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. We are hoping to go back there during the summer.

Love your video! We love camping in the winter. We use the Little Buddy heater to get the temperature up so that we do not use as much propane on our Aldi. It only takes about ten minutes to warm our Cirrus up. It worked for us at minus eleven in Yellowstone and it’s safe for indoor use with the kitchen window cracked open. Once everything is up to temperature we shut it off. Safe travels and hope you can make it to the Truck Camper Rally.
@Stonyboot2 жыл бұрын
Our Alde holds temperatures very well, once its warmed up. We use a hair dryer for that initial warm up, works well and has no fumes to worry about. Sasha likes to also warm her feet up with it... I do too sometimes :) We have the TC Rally on our list, but this year is going to be really complicated and we don't yet know if we will make it. But, we really want to, last year was a blast!

Going into freezing territory, carwash those wheels, water near walmart and at propane store. You are buying propane so just ask...Can I get water. DRAIN that supply hose. Cover windshield to hold in heated cab. Passthrough window to heat cab or just start dinner. Get better bolts at Wal-Mart or auto zone. Hope all that water doesn't freeze since it is so cold out. Best of luck!

We have an exhaust brake which is different from a compression release engine brake (jake brake). They both slow ya down though.

What were those apps you were using when you got to 8,800 feet elevation and any other apps. Do you use a Samsung phone or Apple I-phone??? Thank you Richard Arnold, Pensacola, Florida.

Yes, if we did a custom build, I’d go diesel. But no sense in tearing this all out for the occasional cold weather camping. We also love the fact that we can run heat and hot water off electric when we have it.

You do not have glow plugs. You have a grid intake heater which is great because Ford and GM have 8 glow plugs which sucks. The grid heater is easy to replace and in supper cold days and truck hasn’t been run for a few days you can cycle you grid heater a couple times if need and they work great and i have had to Dodges and kept the 92 had for 14 years and 185 grand in mileage and have never had to replace one I have a 05 and it has never replace it .

Hi from sunny Tucson, AZ! I cringe seeing your poor RAM in the salt and sand! 😪 Hope to a make it there someday during the summer or fall. I'm working camping for the Coronado National Forest ~ Sabino Canyon Recreational Area ~ Tucson, AZ for the winter! I call home a RAM 3500 with a Bigfoot truck camper. Thank you for your videos and safe travels in the snowy tundra!
@Stonyboot2 жыл бұрын
I hate the salt too, but we have encountered enough rain to have washed most of it off now. We passed through Coronado NF about a year ago. That must be an incredible place to work! Which model Bigfoot do you have? They're great campers!

@@Stonyboot I own a 2500 C10.4 with the mid-dry bath. It didn't come with any solar or a generator, but maybe add them later. Volunteering 3 days a week through the winter allows for full hookups and laundry. Then, I DoorDash in Tucson for a little spending money. So far it's working out okay.

This is my second video I've watched, and my only question is why do you want to camp in the winter? Snow storms and freezing cold weather is not having a good time for me. Why not go camping south, in warmer climate? All the southern states offer nice facilities for camping and fishing. Maybe you have made some videos doing just that, I don' know. As I said, this is the second video of you two camping, that I have found on KZbin.
@Stonyboot2 жыл бұрын
We travel full time, we don’t really camp. For us, there is a big distinction between the two. This video was recorded as we moved from Michigan in the summer, then west towards the pacific coast. We didn’t expect to get caught in the storms, but that’s how it goes in the mountains. We are in Texas right now and it was 104f today. That’s pretty warm.

In the use of tiedowns / bungee cords, i go by the mantra " One is none, two are one, and three are two." I use one to tie down the load, the second to lightly back it up, and the third to back up the back up ...

Great video! You should get a directional antenna for the cell reception. It's more work to set up but it works MUCH MUCH better since it can amplify much more (both receive and transmit) and it less impacted by noise (if any). Can't wait for StarLink to get approved for mobile use (stuck with FCC...)
@Stonyboot2 жыл бұрын
I have one in my shopping cart, but just never pulled the trigger. Sometimes the Omni antenna is nice because its quick and simple. A directional takes a little more time to setup. I'd love to have a switch, so I can flip between them when needed. I don't want to leave the connectors open and I haven't figured out how to solve that. Do they make a coax switch, I guess I should google it 😂
@ranig28482 жыл бұрын
@@Stonyboot I’d just get the directional one, mount it next to Omni one and when you get to a spot where cell doesn’t work or you get 20mbps, like even >50mbps even in tough spots.
@someoneelse76292 жыл бұрын
@@Stonyboot Yeah they make switches, but just pull 2 cables inside and switch manually, there is always losses in switches, but I would just go with the directional, it't not rocketscience to turn it roughly to the direction that gives better reception then the omnidirectional
