Do You know as a red light laser that would allow for continuous use over a period of a couple of hours? The power source would need to be batteries.
@FictionRealmLW5 жыл бұрын
Hi, I'm not certain if you're still monitoring these comments but if you are I have a question... Can you use a focused LED light source instead of a laser beam? The reason I ask is because I'd like to have a beam that's larger than the standard 4mm beam you get from most pen lights so there is more 'wiggle' room for windy days etc. Thanks

Thanks GREAT VIDEO! What do you think of the profoto b2 for stop action?
@TheSlantedLens9 жыл бұрын
+manuel tamayo It has a very fast flash duration. Not as fast as the B4's but impressive. The manual says Pro photo b2 has a flash duration from 1/2200 - 1/7400 sec. Its a great wedding and location set up. If I shot weddings I would have one.

That laser trigger could be handly for wildlife that frequent a particular path (preferably the mild mannered herbavore kind!) I believe Nick Nichols once used an earlier (and more primitive) version of this setup to capture a wild tiger traveling to a water hole.

Where did you get your lazer from
@TheSlantedLens9 жыл бұрын
+ryan wines Its just a normal lazer pointer form office depot used for presentations. The trigger does not care what lazer you use. Good Luck!

Can anyone speak to which is better, the Miops or the Pluto? Thank you.
@TheSlantedLens7 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I have never used any devices from Pluto but I love the Nero (formerly Miops) and use it frequently.
@rolandrick6 жыл бұрын
The Pluto trigger comes for the same price (or even less) with a laser included, having a ¼ tread for tripod mount 😉 No tape needed

I don't understand the goal to use laser, if I want to get a splach, I just set my camera to take 5 pictures by second

You don’t need miops to do it. Miops its a waste of money. !!!
@TheSlantedLens5 жыл бұрын
Miops definitely helps to ease the process. There are probably other ways you could do it though.
@f4ust852 жыл бұрын
The good thing about miops is that you dont have to stand there and throw away 10 attempts to get one well timed shot. The bad thing is the Bulb mode. It is quite limiting, you need to work in complete darkness, it is almost impossible to work on location, then whenever something crosses the laser beam for a second time (like more water drops or your sleeve), it makes a double exposure, etc.
