Holy shit people, how is niggardly even remotely offensive? It's no different than many words we use in English everyday. What about the word "as"? It sounds A LOT like "ass" but you don't see people screaming "YOU SAID A BAD WORD!" when somebody says "Im as tall as you." OMG he said "as" and it sounds like "ass"! OMG we should all dwell over words that sound like bad words. Or like Shiitake Mushrooms. OMG we can't say "Shittake" anymore because it sounds too similar to "shit". Or what about "bumfiddler"? Now that one is a bit more uncommon, but it's not a person who fiddles with people's asses. It's actually just a term for somebody who voids a document (like a legal contract) by vandalizing it (scribbling over words, signatures, etc.) All of these words SOUND bad to ignorant people who don't have the reading level to understand them, but an EDUCATED person who is MATURE will not be offended by these words. The people who get offended by the word "niggardly" are simply not educated enough to understand that the word merely means "miserly" or "stingy." It has NOTHING to do with race just like how "bumfiddler" has nothing to do with a perverted man assaulting people's anuses. And if you dont believe me, look it up, "bumfiddler" is a legitimate, English word.

You have a point at first, but you can't really move up all by yourself; almost everyone gets help whether we admit it our not. And it's too simplistic to say most people with weight problems just over-eat. The BMI fails because very muscular people count as "over-weight", and perfectly health people can be considered "under-weight".

@SamuelJoaodaSuica yes i am American. Based upon my experience, people of African decent tend to get quite upset when Caucasians you the term, no matter what the setting. It has become one of those "I can say it but you can't" words. Again, it comes down to a person's point of view.
