So thankful for your video! We have two Super73 Z1 bikes and did not realize how high maintenance they would be. Several flat tires, brake problems etc... and getting someone to fix it is not cheap! So grateful for your video and for the details on what specific kind of brake pads can be used. Thanks for the time you put into helping us out!

Thanks for the great video… I bought new pads from your Amazon link. For my S2, there were two differences: 1) I didn’t seem to need to reset the pistons (they wouldn’t budge), and 2) instead of a screw for the pad clips, there was a pin that I had to unbend/rebend during the process. Now that I’m done, no more squeaks!

Just changed out my brake pads on my juiced bike hyperscrambler 2. Has the exact same brakes on it. This video was very helpful. I had no idea it was so easy. I almost was going to take it in to a bike shop. Was putting it off for a while but couldn’t wait any longer. Had 960 miles on the bike.

I got my RX about 3 maybe four months ago. I have less than 20 miles on it lol . I’m definitely going to be using the bike way more for the summer. Good info thanks!
@seekingsuccess13 жыл бұрын
When I first got my RX it was going 50 mph. It was taxing the battery a bit more though it was so much fun. I thought I was riding a motorcycle lol. Once I updated the firmware it went away. I was so mad. I know there’s somebody out there that can override the software and let these bikes lose lol during the glitch, i could have gone faster if I wanted to but I was concern.
@SESSIONS733 жыл бұрын
That sounds incredible and spooky. I don't know if you saw my other video but they are updating the torque. Not sure when, exactly. Definitely won't unlock it to 50 mph. I am sure someone would know how to hack it, but I haven't seen anything online.
@seekingsuccess13 жыл бұрын
@@SESSIONS73 I’m glad I saw your other video. Wish they hurry up already with the update. Sheesh they take forever to do anything. They have to get it together. Other manufactures are having disruption in their manufacturing. Nothing like super73 is out of this world.

You make it look really easy! I always fear I’ll do something wrong so I buy the pads (ceramic) online and then take it to a mechanic that charges me 20$ to do them. One time the squeaking never stopped after changing the brakes so they replaced the rotor on the house and that did the job.

Nicely filmed, background music at perfect level, and all details covered. 👍 I do mine similarly, but insert a .005" feeler gauge between disc and stationary pad during the caliper centering step to get it just right.

Good tutorial i don,t have a S2 but a ZG and i swopped the original cable brakes for hydraulic brakes which was not to hard i was a little scared to do it because you cut the cable to fit your bike but i was easier than i thought much smoother braking even for U.K. 15.5 MPH limit, Keep up the good work.

Just wanted to say thanks quick tutorial… I ordered the pads and installed them on for ZX but instead of the 3mm hex they installed a carter pin… I thought it was chicken shit for a $2k bike but it works and wanted to know if I should replace it with a new carter pin?
@SESSIONS732 жыл бұрын
Best practice is to add a new cotter pin when you remove the old one, but I am sure you'll be good to use the old one.

Dang i wish you had showed the brake pistons being pushed all the way because mine keep pushing back out and I'm not sure why
@SESSIONS732 жыл бұрын
I'm definitely no expert on hydraulic brakes, but it sounds like you have some extra pressure in the lines. You may need a bike shop to bleed the brakes for you.

@SESSIONS733 жыл бұрын
No more squeal. It's been the best thing for my brakes this far.
@kizzik Жыл бұрын
I usually use a large flathead screwdriver to push in the piston before removing the old pads. This will prevent damage to the piston.
@SESSIONS73 Жыл бұрын
Smart. Wrap it with electrical tape for added protection. So you don’t get metal on metal.
@kizzik Жыл бұрын
@SESSIONS73 You should do a video to show people how to bed the brakes to prevent squealing.

Love the vids. Do you know a solution to the throttle not working? It cuts out, waiting for an answer from Super73 atm.
@SESSIONS733 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the props. Dang, I don't. I know Super73 can be a bit slow on their support, but if you're patient, they will get you some answers. Does it cut out when you're not pushing the brakes? Sometimes the brake sensors can be finicky and cut the throttle. It might be related.
@sn3llzie2413 жыл бұрын
@@SESSIONS73 Thanks for the answer. Most of the time it dosen't work whatsoever and while it does, it just gives up after a few seconds. I will definitely look in to the brake sensor related thing.

Is it important to push back the two silver pistols n both sides? Or it’s just only in your case ? Why you pushed them back?
@SESSIONS733 жыл бұрын
So, you want to reset the pistons so you know that you have room to slide the calipers on the disc. It might not be necessary, but it's a best practice.

But the discs are very exposed to the elements so why being so careful not to touch them with your hands? Don't you ride the bike on rough terrains and through puddles???
@SESSIONS732 жыл бұрын
That’s a good question. Because your hand grease can make some of those elements stick to the rotor easier.
