2:42 Saying this now, I find good appetites to be an attractive quality in women. It's nice to share something in common.

"we have found, through scientific study, and research and experimentation, that waists of all sizes need to be hugged." An accurate representation of how companies tell you about "science" without actually telling you anything about the science.

When she said expensive stuff and showed a wet n wild eyeshadow palette i was like ya right

This punchline is actually very deep. It shows how powerful our need to "fit in" is, no matter how woke we are. Our biological need to feel attractive always wins with abstract ideology. Even though feminism has been around for over 100 years, beauty expectations for women keep rising and they are expected to buy more and more expensive shit. Capitalism feeds on human insecurity. Very good sketch, indeed. Also, I've been watching CH for, like, 8 years now. I started when I was in high school and I love how this channel keeps getting more and more mature and depressing, just like my life. Love you, guys

macorl Pretty true but also, some people just also want to look pretty for themselves

@@mariealaba4160 but who dictates what is "pretty" and what not? Society
@unenouille4304 жыл бұрын
I mean, I agree to some point, but biology also dictates what we think is pretty, and at some point it's survival of the fittest. And the problem really isn't with light makeup when working or partying, but more with people putting an excessive amount EVERYDAY. Don't know how they do it.

@@unenouille430 Humans are beyond this shitty social Darwinist view of "survival of the fittest" - if this was true, then how come disabled people exist? Or homeless people? These are only two of the many groups that social Darwinism would deem as "weak", and yet these folks are still around. If "survival of the fittest" were true, then would you be okay with letting people with medical health issues, disabled folks and homeless people simply die off? I fucking suggest that you rethink your god awful position. Yours sincerely, a disabled person with health issues.

@@diddles3383 Dude, we've been above evolution for a while now, chill. Doesn't mean that it didn't impact us in the beginning, or that said impact is completely gone. Empathy is a trait that came from evolution, which allowed us to protect the weakest, so the group would survive. Only the strongest groups would survive, and that meant there had to be a desire for people to protect eachother. Evolution isn't why you should die off, it's why you should survive. Survival of the fittest isn't supposed to only be about the individual, it's also about the group.

This applies to skincare industry as well, branding products that feed off of people’s fear of aging and destroy skin barriers as “self care.”

Anyone recognize the WnW products being used? On another note regarding highlighters... If I hear one more of the following descriptions of makeup, I'm going to scream, lol: "it's not highlighter, it's "your skin but better" Or worse, "It's brings out 'your glow from within'.."
