I've had issues where I've sprayed the 4040 mildly wet coat, and the candy automatically starts bleeding into the 4040, thus bleeding over other parts of the artwork. No reduction, just straight 4040. Same LPH80 gun with 1.2 needle. Couldn't get around this. So what I've had to resort to, is spray a few dry coats on first, building that up, before laying a lightly wet coat on. This is the only way it's worked for me, not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Mix candy2o with 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear as set forth in the candy2o tech sheet and mix guide video (candy2o.com/) and allow candy2o colors to thoroughly dry before applying 4040 Bleed Checker. 4040 can be applied medium-wet over candy2o after it has dried. 4040 is not reduced. Apply 4040 straight from the bottle. Thank you.

So the 4040 is just a light lacquer pretty much as it work the same as lacquer by sealing the paint

Hi id like to know why im getting grainy surface when im applying the 4040? Is that normal or i not apply enough wet? (I cant see it but i can feel it on hand touch)

4040 is a specialty product, only intended for use as a bleed barrier over candy2o. Spray direct form the bottle, do not thin or reduce it. Apply medium wet coats with a 50/50 overlapping pattern. If 4040 appears grainy, reduce air pressure and use a 0.5mm airbrush tip-size or larger, sprayed in the low 20s psi. For a spray-gun, use a 1.2mm tip operated at the gun manufacturer's recommended inlet psi. Thank you.

Are you spraying detail white straight from bottle? If not what reduction ratio and PSI please.. I always have issues with my detail white no matter how I try to use it.. The 1st bottle i bought was halfway dry and hardened even though it was still sealed🤦🏽‍♂️, so I bought another but I keep having issues while spraying. I really want to make the switch from FW to Wicked because you'll are so much more easily accessible, but my experiences are making it hard. I do alot of custom paint, airbrushing, and striping so I'd love to be able to just buy youlls paint at hobby lobby, rather than have to order online like with the FW inks.. sorry for the rant. Just let me know please the reduction ratio and psi, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Looking for help with this product, I have sprayed it directly over my candy 3 coats as reccomended full coverage, I have taped up my design over it and sprayed white and still get bleeding, anyone any suggestions I'm lost

@@CreatexColors hi, I mixed the candy 2o 1 to 1 with 4050 uvsl clear plus 10% reduction for 3 coats, then went to shooting 4040 bleed check over it another 3 coats (not reduced) tried to shoot opaque white over it reduced 10% bleeds almost instantly

Try adding more 4050 to the mix, and make sure reduction is only with 4011 Reducer (4012 Reducer promotes bleeding). candy20 are concentrate dyes; for spray gun application we recommend 4050 8:1 candy20. While 1:1 can be done for airbrush, that’s a fairly concentrate mix. Increasing the 4050 in the mix and lessening the amount of 4011 Reducer in the mix will help prevent bleeding. Thank you.
