Omgosh, I am just over 13 minutes into the video and you've not given a single recipe. Hard pass.

My neighbor and I are both widowed empty nesters so we enjoy sharing meals with each other. I also freeze individual portions. I don’t eat out so I love having homemade freezer meals.

that's so wonderful! I love freezing individual meals too! So easy to use as leftovers. Thanks for sharing!

I'm 83 and always cook a full recipe and freeze individual meals in the freezer. Works for me.

It takes time for all of us to switch how we think about cooking for one. Glad you've found a way to make it work for you. Hope this info was helpful too

I was worried if I would cook perform myself but I found it to not be a problem at all. 2 pluses are I can cook whatever I want at whatever time of day I want. Having a regular refrigerator really helps because part of my Staples are lettuce, cucumbers, celery, onions, potatoes, cabbage, green peppers which I cut up and freeze and frozen veggies so I can just cook as much as I need for each meal. I really keep on hand chicken and ground meat because there are so many varieties of meals you can make with those. But I like variety (that's why you need a regular size refrigerator) because I buy other meats in family size packages because it's less expensive, portioning them out and freeze them individually so I only can cook one piece of meat at a time.. if you don't like cooking everyday because of all the dishes you could cook meals for three and freeze one of them. You don't have to eat that second meal of the day after it will keep for 5 days.

Just found you. I am kinda in a crazy place as to how many I’m cooking for…. lol at times it’s for two or five….. I have my collage age kids coming and going…. My husband and I also help care for, often shop for and prep meals/share food/groceries with one set or the other regularly…. It is just a crazy challenge…. Your tips/advice is so useful and appreciated…lol if it’s my collage kid needing to prep and eat, or it’s for my parents needs of smaller pre prepped meals….. I’m learning great tips and advise. Thanks you 🙏🏼❤️

You seriously found this video helpful? If you haven't figured out how to turn a recipe with 4 servings or with 2 servings into a single serving, you may want to get acquainted with Doordash or canned tuna. That said, I stopped the video at 13 minutes because not a single recipe nor but if useful info was provided.

that's great to hear, glad you find these tips helpful for all the different groups you're cooking for!

ok, be dismissive to me, but not to other commenters. We're all here learning. Some things may come naturally to you, but those same things won't come naturally to others. This video isn't about specific recipes, it's in the title.

I'm sad that you don't find enjoyment in eating alone and think it sucks. I live alone and love eating on my own.❤
@Cooking-for-one3 ай бұрын
hmmm I don't feel that way, and have found lots of ways to make it even more enjoyable for me & clients. I don't think I said I don't like it (hope not!). But I know many people who don't so, I'm sharing tips :)

You said you would list the complaints you heard and agree with all of them, and that "Sitting alone at a table..kind of in the dark..kinda sucks." You recommended we do something to distract from the fact that we are eating alone. Also said that we can make it enjoyable ENOUGH.

This video is way too long

When you talk for half of the video, you’re going to lose viewers before you get to your recipes. Much of what you said was repeated multiple times. I would suggest writing yourself a script so you don’t wander so much. I will watch other videos to see if this is an isolated case.

What do you mean by anti-diet? Do you mean that adopting a sustainable, healthy lifestyle is a positive way forward, rather than eating in a completely bizarre and unsustainable way? Or do you mean HAES ? Because if you mean the latter i have no intention of following your channel.
