This has to be one of if not the saddest song I've ever heard. I couldn't listen to this song without crying through it. I'm so proud of Dalton for overcoming his inner demons. Please don't put nasty comments on this post. Dalton is an inspiration to me and so many others. We've all had our dark days where cutting ourselves, jumping off a bridge, downing a bottle of pills seemed to be the only way out. This video to me shows that whoever has gone through these thoughts knows they're not alone. A person who is in those dark days just wants to make everything better, to feel loved, to know someone out there cares for them, they want to feel not alone. And Dalton has done that at least to me he has. He's been through the darkest of days just like we all have and he has overcome. To me Dalton will always be a true definition of an idol. So the next time you see a person in the deepest darkest periods of their lives just give them a hug and tell them that you care that you'll be there for them. Would it hurt to try to make this world a better place? Dalton I know you probably won't read this but you're an inspiration to so many mainly myself and I thank you.

I simply cannot go without comment on this amazing and talented young man. I have to say, I had never heard of him until someone in the Blue October group posted that he was singing "Calling You" on American Idol tonight. I am in nursing school and have not been watching this series. Of course I tuned in to watch his performance and what a great rendition of the song he did. I am sure Justin is no less than proud. I was so impressed that I went to KZbin to watch some more of his performances. While there is no doubt that this young man is very talented, I am so impressed with his honesty, strength, character and confidence. His positive outlook is radiant and it is clear that music is his outlet as he puts everything he has into every performance. I too raised my children (17 and 25) with a vast exposure to music and therefore they have a great appreciation for it, and I was a teenager in the 80's so I can relate to his mother. I am sure she is very proud of Dalton and his accomplishments. They are very well deserved. Dalton, you have gained a fan in myself and this particular song "Stop" is beautiful. You will make it to the beach one day, keep riding those waves.
