As harness’s are built to tug on your dogs body and turn them around so you don’t I injure your dogs Neck. If your dog is a puppy then it is completely normal for them to put things in there mouth that not suppose to as there exploring there new world.Your puppy may just need extra supervision when there on walks,They should grow out of it though. The "scientists" on number 10 are wrong as can be. I came home from work and when I walked in the door my entire living room and dining room floors were covered in shredded toilet paper. And when I say covered I mean there was not a singl spot where I could see the floor. I had forgot to put a brand new 12 pack of tp away from night before when I got home from the store. As I looked around it was hard to see lil miss Bella because she is a maltese and blended right in but when I did see her she was trying to hide in the corner with her head real low and eyes looking sad even though I hadn't spoken a word and was actually smiling because I was kind of amazed at how thoroughly she had covered the floor. Even when I got down on the floor and told her it was ok she wasn't in trouble and was laughing she was reluctant to come to me and I had been smiling laughing and telling her it was ok. So anyone telling me that a dog doesn't feel guilt or know when they have done wrong I will call bullshit. Same with those who say that dogs don't have emotions

completely agree with you! I have too many instances where my dogs, without any input or provocation from me, showed their own awareness that they did something wrong, and felt guilt/shame at their own behaviors. Anyone who says a dog or even a cat, does not realize or understand that they did something wrong (meaning, even before a human owner reprimands them) is a fool and agree with you, and will this call bullshit. Even wild/undomesticated animals of all species, know if they did something wrong, their biological parents and siblings, have imprinted upon them what is good behavior and what is not good behavior. Do people still honestly believe animals do not have a higher understanding of what is right and wrong? and even more domesticated animals (even domesticated farm animals) have adapted and learned even in the "human sense", if their actions are acceptable or not. I stopped watching the video right after their #10 statement, so do not know what the next 9 were. This statement (#10) completely lost for me any credibility for this video

Tips for people wanting to be a pet owner in future: 1. If there are twins, try to adopt both as it might cause loneliness of being seperation. 2.Leave a bowl of water always out. 3.Walk them in the morning, mid day, and night before bed, but only feed them after the mid day walk and morning walk: 4.If your dog is shivering, try to warm them up. 5.Don't overwalk your dog. 6. Never I mean NEVER give them garlic, it will give them diarrhea, avoid giving them anything related to garlic.

Problem with letting my dog sniff at everything he wants to, sometimes during our walk, he will discover a dead animal or chicken bone discarded. I don’t want him eating that stuff. I think it is dangerous and he sees it quicker than me. It is really hard. I want him to enjoy our walks but don’t want what I described to happen.

Thank you for saying this. People tend to treat animals the way their parents did. This is often abusive to say the least. Now we know better snd we can do better. We understand how sensitive, intelligent & fragile they are. There is no such thing as an “outdoor” cat or dog. Ask any vet - this animal will have less than half of it’s normal lifespan if you do this. They are domestic animals. That means they habe been bred to live inside as the companions of humans, sharing their needed shelter. It’s not being a “softie” or an “animal nut.” Cats & dogs physically must have “human” shelter. They cannot stay in outdoor “dog houses..” In most jurisdictions it is now illegal to tie up a dog outside to anything / trees, fences, buildings. If anyones sees this please call PETA at their toll free number and they will tru to help the animal. Again, I thank God for people like you who understand how delicate these animals are. @@rockforester7908 that's 100% untrue 🤦 "Domestic" as far as dogs & cats, simply means they rely on us for feeding.. doesn't mean they'll get sick, be unhealthy or die younger if they live outside.. you do realize allot of breeds are specifically MEANT to live outside and do a job right? I've had indoor dogs fed kibble that had nonstop issues and died around just 10 years old or younger 😔 And have had MANY dogs that lived outside most their life, were fed proper raw diets and they lived 15-17 years.. Of course, you can't just leave a dog outdoors to fend for itself.. they still need attention, walks, playtime and appropriate housing/shelter.. I have some dogs that would completely destroy your house if you kept them inside for even one day lol. No matter how much attention they get. They just want to be outdoors doing their job.

Two things … My dog never overeats. She just stops eating even if there is food in her bowl (even a treat). I actually occasionally weigh her to make sure she is not losing weight (we are quite active) Along with being active, she is a tiny 7.5# terrier/chihuahua mix dog that loves hiking all year around (bounding thru the snow) … she wears winter clothes when hiking in subfreezing conditions.

My Border Collie is fussy, he never overeats, in fact, I have to coax him to his bowl saying “good boy, eat your dinner”. And his food is mainly human food with kibble, mixed in with minced meat, cheese, cold meats like ham, roast beef, chicken, etc, a different variety each night. I think I’ve spoilt him, if he doesn’t eat it, I put it in the fridge and give it to him the next day, he won’t eat it until I toss that out and make another dinner. Yep, I think he’s spoilt.

Don't stop them from exploring and sniffing(it let's them learn about their world and prevents them from misbehaving and being anxious) 3. Don't run away from the vet(regular visits are important to dogs health) 4. Don't give unwanted hugs(act of dominance or aggression. Ear scratches are better) 5. Don't make them apologize(dogs don't regret their actions. Try to correct his bahavior instead of making them feel guilty lol) 6. Don't isolate your dog(he can become bored, destructive, and sad. Needs attention) 7. Don't assume your dog doesn't care about the weather 8. Don't use their crate as punishment!!!(they'll make a negative association with the crate) 9. Make sure your dog doesn't overeat 10. Don't leave your dog alone in a car 11. Don't dress your dog 12. Avoid using strong fragrances(their sense of smell is 25x better than ours. Strong smells can make them stressed) 13. Protect your dog in the car: seat belts, close windows, etc... 14. Don't pull on the leash(pressure on a dogs neck from pulling on a tight leash can lead to throat and thyroid and possibly other problems) Thank me later🙂🙂🙂

While appreciate the content because I love my dog more than life - a couple things in the list are WRONG lolol. Dogs shouldn’t be hugged ???! Huh ??? Swain LOVES getting big ol full body hugs and will then lay across my lap for hours. Also - dogs don’t feel guilt??? Um yesssss they can. Dome small dogs need jumpers and jackets. I have a chippoo and when she was a puppy my X slagged me for putting a jumper on her. Saying I was fir my ego rather than her benefit. That was until he saw her shivering with th cold. Sorry but while most dogs have sufficient fur, some small breeds lack the thickness of cost and body mass to stay warm in the winter outside! They need a jumper and or jacket.

I'm glad to be a good owner😊 We give him a sweater only when he asks for it (he pokes his nose on things he wants), he doesn't have a collar but more of a harness to not put unnecessary pressure anywhere if he starts pulling when he gets excited, and I very much disagree with the hugging part, he seeks being physically enveloped, he likes to burry his face under my arm when he sits on my lap, he sits on his back legs on my lap and put his hands on my shoulders leaning in, just like when humans hug. He is very anxious and a lot of physical contact relaxes him. He's been traumatized by other dogs being aggressive with him and biting him to the point he needed stitches, so he dislikes being with other dogs and really seeks reassurance from human touch.

I have pitbulls and when we’re relaxed they enjoy hugs. But will let me know not to by putting a leg up and pushing on me ha. I am guilty of over feeding them but they get about 2 hours of exercise a day. They also get a small bite of anything I eat too, unless it’s toxic to them. Ugh just love my boys so much! Wish all dogs in the world could be loved.

8:22 Some dogs don't get a winter coat and so they need a coat to go outside and use the bathroom or play if they want. Carmy loved his sweaters and coats. So not all dogs hate it. If they have a lot of fur then yea, they're fine for a minute in the snow or something. But when they r short of hair then they need a coat like Carmy did.

Clothes are more beneficial for aged dogs if they have little fur, or in winter, aged pets can have an appropriate jumper/PJ's on.
