Fun fact, if Tannu Tuva had an army reformer from the start, they'd be able to get ideoligical loyalty whole 21 days faster, meaning that Tannu Tuva would get 1500 more manpower.

The changes were a massive buff to Tannu Tuva, because with this change you could get ideological loyalty (when it was 50xp) in 29th of July, instead of it taking until 29th of September. Netting you a cool 3500 manpower. And when the cost went down from 50xp to 35xp, it would only take until 1st of July, netting you extra 3000 manpower. Also aplies to Paraguyay, but like who plays that nation?

Should be setup that your advisors only give you army exp while you are training units. They modify the amount of exp gained from exercises and battles not just a passive amount from them existing. So they would say like "increase exp gains from exercising and battles by 50%" instead of just giving you a flat amount. Then it actually becomes a choice between spending equipment in training vs. just getting a bunch passively.

As UK, I drill the army until I get 35 experience, take relief of command, then get reduced cost genius head of army. After that I design a decent light tank for the start of the war, then make small adjustments to infantry (support AA) and motorized templates (usually light armour battalions). Next comes theatre training and logistical focus (from the army corps), which are better bang for buck than doctrines. Finally, I get discounted army theorist (Monty) and work my way through the doctrines. I would argue that perfect templates are not worth it until much later. As a democratic country, it's not worth spending the IC to have the tanks and support equipment to fill those fancy divisions. Make small adjustments to templates as equipment becomes available.

I had 40 width dividisions while fighting the Soviets as Germany. The atrition was so bad and my man power droped to zero. So I had to make the divisions slightly smaller to have more manpower for reinforcing. This then had an effect of all my active divisions performing better. I saved manpower and I reduced the supply demand. The ideal template is an ever evolving template always ready to deal with the problems that come.

Actually you can gain xp through lend lease, basically as long as your equipment are going through combat, no matter it’s your army or another army is using your equipment, you gain experience, works both air and army experience. So if you are sure your equipment going to be used, for example, China gonna use any gun and artillery you send them, then just send them everything you have, I mean most of the time you don’t actually see your tier I guns and artillery in your own combat, you always use 1939 equipment when the war gets serious in 1941.

You are right about how exp is related to real life. @@ekothesilent9456 I would say it’s more like: During the Meiji period in Japan (1868-1912), the government sought foreign expertise to assist in modernizing various aspects of the country. Among these advisors were Prussian experts, known as oyatoi gaikokujin _(お雇い外国人),_ who made significant contributions. Here’s a glimpse of their impact: *Jakob Meckel:* * A Prussian general, Meckel was invited to Japan as a professor at the Army Staff College and an advisor to the Imperial Japanese Army General Staff. * He worked closely with influential figures like General Katsura Tarō, General Yamagata Aritomo, and army strategist General Kawakami Soroku. * Meckel’s recommendations included reorganizing the command structure into divisions and regiments, enhancing logistics and transportation, and revising the conscription system. * He introduced Clausewitz’s military theories and the Prussian concept of war games (Kriegspiel), refining Japanese tactics and strategy. * His influence helped replace French advisors’ ideas with his own philosophies, emphasizing loyalty to the Emperor. *Other Prussian advisors:* _Leopold Mueller, Julius Scriba, and Erwin Bälz contributed to medicine._ _K. F. Hermann Roesler and Albert Mosse influenced legal matters._ _K. W. Jacob Meckel (mentioned earlier) played a crucial role in military affairs._ These Prussian advisors played a pivotal role in shaping Japan’s modernization journey, leaving a lasting impact on its military, administrative, and cultural development. ______ As opposed to having no general staff and figuring out how to run a military through trial and error.

@@ekothesilent9456 or during the Meiji period, the Japanese navy also sought foreign expertise to modernize and strengthen its capabilities. Here are some notable foreign advisors who contributed to the development of the Imperial Japanese Navy: *François Léonce Verny:* A French naval engineer, Verny played a crucial role in constructing Japan’s first modern naval dockyard at Yokosuka. He supervised the construction of warships, including the ironclad Kōtetsu (also known as the CSS Stonewall), which was a significant achievement for Japan’s naval forces. Verny’s expertise in shipbuilding and naval infrastructure greatly influenced the growth of the Japanese navy. *Henry Walton Grinnell:* An American naval officer, Grinnell served as an advisor to the Japanese navy. He contributed to the establishment of the Imperial Japanese Naval Academy in Tsukiji, Tokyo. Grinnell’s focus was on training naval officers and improving naval education. *William Pennock:* An American naval engineer, Pennock assisted in the construction of naval vessels. He worked on the design and building of several ships, including the Kanrin Maru, Japan’s first steam-powered warship. *George Henry Adams:* An English naval officer, Adams served as an instructor at the Imperial Japanese Naval Academy. His expertise in naval tactics and training contributed to the professionalization of the Japanese navy. These foreign advisors played a vital role in shaping the modernization and effectiveness of the Imperial Japanese Navy during the Meiji era.

The way I understand it, Political Power is your ability to influence the civilians in your Nation (and the leaders of other Nations), while Command Power is your ability to influence your Armed Forces You need Command Power to convince a General that Force Attacking, risking many lives and equipment, is a good idea You need Political Power to convince Civilians to sell off their living space so you can build another Factory in your already extremely industrialized province Which explains why the best military leaders require little amounts of Command Power since the Military already respects them, but Civilians usually feel threatened by the Armed Forces so the stronger Army Leader you pick the more you need to convince your people that you're not totally oppressive (which is a little ironic for the openly oppressive totalitarian regimes like the Germans and Soviets) Edit: There's also the rare "Old Guard" which requires no command power and very little political power, they way i see it is that they're the retired or close to being retired army leaders that are both extremely respected by the army since they been a part of it for decades, and also respected by the people since they had the time to prove they're a neither corrupt nor a treat to civilian lives, of course since they're Old they won't have the genius bonuses buy they can still compete with specialists and experts

@@thiccupcake Ok so if your one division training or even if you go for army advisor early you will generate enough army xp that you can take the trench warfare doctrine down to the second level and then pump out a bunch of cheap generals and admirals with all of the command power you generate, then change doctrines. You can also do this with navy to get leader with the sea wolf trade by going down the first level of commerce interdiction. This strategy is most useful when playing minor nations.

Something i had in mind. Currently all template changes (besides mixing inf, tanks or mechs) cost 5 XP. Maybe initially inf still cost 5xp, arty and cav 10, motor or mech 15 or 20 and tanks 20 or 25. Hear me out, all armies of the world were based off ww1 infantry armies, with some outliers or experimental mixed brigades. Most nations had defunded their armies too. Also, it would force nations into historical doctrines reducing template costs, most have an armor or mech tech at some point already. Bothers me being incentivized to minimax with 100 year old hindsight, skipping any historic immersion to build 40w tank divs in 1938 as mass assault doctrine mexico... Ye would make the game hard, but that's probably a good thing.

So since you used UK as example, from start UK gains 1.25 PP a day, to get 100 would take 80 days or 160 days to get 200 in the first year so jan 1937 the 100 PP would give 85.5(109.5 for full year) and 200 PP would give 83.6 (146 for full year) If you get Relief of command the +25% exp bonus asap its 62.53 first year (135 for full year), 58.75 first year (182.5 for full year) so if you went all in on ROC you would have in jan 1938 197.53 exp or 241.25 and in 1939 would be 332.53 and 423.75 So really its not a huge buff but could easily nab an extra two doctrines by the time you went to war in late 1939, that would have to be balanced against the lost gains in what you could have spent that 100PP on, and might not be worth it for all nations. But that extra .10 exp a day adds up quickly.

As a France if you'll go for the land doctrine reduce cost + forts in army reform branch you could legit almost maxed out doctrines.
