Just subbed. I'm new to your channel, but I'm impressed with your content and manner of delivery! 😊👌 Around 2015, I remember unexplainable scalp itching at the crown. Prior to that, I've always enjoyed thick hair,,,,,, fast-forward »»» despite massive 'shedding' I didn't realize I lost enormous amounts of hair until my mother brought it to my attention and I saw a recent picture of myself (at that time); "Aye, Yi, Yiiii!" 😱 Now I've got to 'comb-over' to conceal! ✊😝 It's all good; slowly but slowly... it's coming back! 👏💯 Sry long,,,, just wanted to thank you for all you're doing to educate us in KZbin Valley. 🤗 Be Gr8 & Stay Safe! 😄 📖 • Matthew 7 : 12 • 📖 💖

@vlurzz2 жыл бұрын
I understand this especially with dealing with breakage, what i would advise is have a consistent regimen and if you are stuck, get help from a professional you can trust, also manage your expectations about length retention. A simple regiment would be shampoo, condition or deep condition and style and possible do a mid week moisture routine, something that overwhelms me is the amount of steps some people do in their wash day, you don't have to follow suit, just do the basics of washing, conditioning, styling and mid week moisturising, wish you the best
@feliciaaddo59322 жыл бұрын
Omg, right? I've been stuck at shoulder length for years because apparently the friction with clothes causes damage, braiding it causes damage, imbalanced moisture to protein causes damage. There's water overload, product build up, and all that to worry about. I'm so stressed. I cant retain any length

Girl this vid found me just in time! My hair has been shedding so bad. I was crying for the past month. I did not have a baby, surgery or lost drastic weight. I don’t color, straighten it manipulate my hair at all. I went to the doctor Becuz i thought i had cancer or an illness and those fools couldn’t help! I took matters into my own hands. In ONE month. My shedding has decreased drastically and stressing about it was making it worse. Starting March 1, i took MegaFood builder and Vitamin D! In one month my hair has literally went from a baseball amount of shedding to literally a quarter amount it shedding. A lot of times our bodies are out of wack. Stress, life, hairstyles, food. I love how honest and realistic this video was. I’m having the same problem, had wash day yesterday after having braids for two weeks and mad hair came out from me just detangling it. I feel like it might be because I didn’t oil it often while in the protective style
@Mochi_chan7373 жыл бұрын
That could just be the shed hair that must have accumulated during the two weeks, as we normally shed around 50-100 hair strands per day
@bleurose15023 жыл бұрын
Shed hair is long full strand hair, shedding is normal in moderation especially if it's been some time since last detangled (e.g month long protective styles). Excessive shredding-> likely internal issues I.e vitamin deficiencies, hormonal changes, stress etc Breakage is short broken off hair -> likely to do with your methods of manipulation (styling, tension, not trimming etc), levels of protien or moisture, or possibly deficiencies also weakening your hair making breakage more likely. I hope that helps

@pamelamccants28773 жыл бұрын
@@gheneechoo9083 it’s either your iron or vitamin D level is low. Have your doctor check your levels because they will definitely cause hair loss. Facts. I loss all my hair. Shedding and coming out in clumps by the handfuls. I went to the doctor but I gotta better results from KZbin and Google. I started shampooing my hair once a week using a shampoo brush which stimulates blood flow and encourages hair growth. I deep condition and use a plastic cap and since I’m low porosity I have to sit under the dryer for 20 minutes then rinse with cool water. Then I apply a leave in conditioner. I always detangle with a wide tooth comb. I always sleep with a satin bonnet or scarf sometimes both but never sleep without because cotton dries out hair which will cause breakage. I take a multivitamin daily and vitamin D and vitamin C. Growing oils are Peppermint, lavender and tea tree oil. If you’re high porosity then you need to use a protein treatment every 2 - 3 months. I did and still doing these things and my hair now is almost to my collar bone compared when it was all the way to my scalp. And you must cut away those split ends. No saving them period. My hair is always shedding abnormally a lot to me (weather running my hands through it, after washing it, or taking out braids). I stopped relaxing it when I was in high school because I realized how damaging it was and chopped a lot of it off in 2016 after i graduated (while doing it gradually in high school). In 2018 I was diagnosed with leukemia but now my hair has been growing back since last year and although I know it’s growing, it’s still sheds a lot like before I shaved it when I got sick so it’s like I don’t even see the growth. 😞 Btw could be me but I feel like all the relaxing I was getting since I was little & the sew-ins I did my first 2 years in high school really thinned my hair out as well. In 2018, I shaved my hair bald due to it already falling off and it just began growing back last year but i feel like the growth is really not going anywhere, even before I got sick. I’m stuck and don’t know what to do 😭 any help?

I would advice washing your hair with rice water + onions What I'm doing is taking fertilised rice water and onion mixing them up During wash day when my hair is wet I add the onion and rice leave it in for about 10 min and then shampoo it off. ( No lie the onions burns when spraying it on your hair cuz sometimes it drips to the eyes and even afterwards shampoo the onion Smell is lingering around you but pain is beauty yeah?👀 ) And after the washing do not put coconut oil on your head just use another essential oil ( too much protein in coconut ) That's really helped get stronger and softer hair. Which in return has helped my hair stop shedding I hope it works for you too!

I've had success with green tea before, but I used caffeinated green tea because caffeine blocks/inhibits the hormone DHT which causes hair shedding. It also activates hair follicles. There actually was a study done that observed the affects of caffeine on hair follicles, which were positive. The plan is to use coffee rinses going forward because coffee has more caffeine. But coffee will stain the cuticles, which I don't mind.

@xolyndajay4 жыл бұрын
I USE TO LOOOOOOVE Dexter and Johnny Bravo! I would say that the color is playing a part if I experienced this same issue every time that I've colored my hair. However this is the first time I am experiencing something like this even though I have colored my hair multiple times in the past. I will say though that having colored hair is more high maintenance so the neglect that my hair experienced while being colored does take a harder hit. But I would not say that coloring it is what got me to where I am now.

Thank you for this video. I immediately clicked when I saw the title. My hair significantly broke off on either side in the lower back. I think I'm going to cut back on my weekly shampoos, and try the Organic Green tea rinse in addition to continuing my deep conditioners. My hair sheds everyday, especially after wash day. I trim my hair but usually while in twists. I did cut about 2 inches off about 1 months ago. Eventhough I wanted to wait until my hair started growing back in the back, but I think I may get some twists or box braids. My hair does well when braided too. Again thank you for this video👍! This may be late, & you may not still have this problem, but I would encourage you to try a green tea rinse with rosemary (aids in hair growth). Natural85 has a video tutorial on this. I added rosemary to my hot water as the tea bag was seeping. I carefully added an application bottle full (I purchased one from Sally’s beauty. It’s the leakproof Salon Care bottle) amount to my hair after I applied my deep conditioner. I let it sit for about 30 minutes, & afterwards rinsed it out. I believe it works & that I shedded less hair. I’m going to keep trying it. I plan to use it every two weeks. I think what we consider more shedding may come with having dense hair, however I believe there are ways to reduce it. Also we should consider our hair is coily & curly, and one shed hair looks like a lot, & 20 shed hairs can form a ball.

Came to this video bc my hair just won’t grow, like at all. It seems like it grows more when I wear protective styles like wigs or braids but it never grows past my shoulders & I am getting so frustrated. I have started moisturizing my hair a lot more, started detangling it while wet, I have tried leave in conditioners, coconut oil, etc and every time I go to comb or brush my hair a hand full of hair comes out & idk why. Right when I think my hair is doing good it’s goes right back to its normal length & im honestly about ready to give up. It’s so frustrating & annoying.
