I must purchase this. I think this is the one Emily Noel has spoken about a few times. NYX loose finishing powder is amazing... I use it to set my foundation and I rarely need to touch up, but if I do, I use this powder too.

Hi taylor, I'm a huge CYO fan and was sad that it was discontinued. The kickass is definitely not a dupe. If you haven't tried the No.7 Lift and Luminate triple action serum foundation, it's a must try especially for CYO lovers. I found it the closest formula with the CYO and have been loving it. My skin is a combination. Oily on cheeks and forehead but super dry on the rest of my face especially on my chin and this No.7 works wonders just like CYO to me. FYI you're the only youtuber I trust especially on choosing foundations❤

to those who may struggle with longevity or oiliness with their foundations, try mixing a bit of a mattifying primer with it! the other day i tried the catrice matte primer mixed with the maybelline superstay (and also had the primer beneath) it stayed on sooo long and nice! i also used the coty airspun powder and a setting spray tho. but my friend thought i wasnt wearing any foundation lmao

I have a lead on a foundation that might be a dupe for CYO! There is a foundation by Sleek that Robert Welsh tried recently on his channel. Sleek is part of the same parent company that also made CYO and Soap & Glory. That Sleek foundation had LIFEPROOF in the name and I think Robert really liked it in his review. I don’t know if Sleek is easily available in the US though, I guess it’s a UK drugstore brand?

It is readily available in the uk, it’s under the same parent brand and it’s been around for a long time. I think Taylor tried it but I could be wrong. If it’s something you would like to try Taylor I’m more than happy to send you some over as I’m in the UK.

I feel like a drugstore foundation that no one talks about anymore/how amazing it is is still the Believe Beauty foundation from Dollar General. I've tried a few others & I just cannot find one that is even comparable on my skin. & I still old school use the Coty Air Spun powder. One thing that changed my makeup game was following Robert Welsh's tip on concealer. I was using too much & by following his tutorial on concealer, it's actually make me look younger/more refreshed.

Just received the Purito bb cream. THE BEST foundation I have ever used, and I have Ouma, Givency, Chanel, L’Oréal, Este Lauder, etc. The coverage was fantastic, and I have red cheeks so I need it. That is why I never tried a BB cream, until Taylor recommended it. I’m 57 and it is like skin. Just perfect.

If anyone needs to powder like I do, the best powder I found for masks is the dermablend loose powder, my makeup was smudging like crazy cause the mask and ever since I tried that powder it doesn’t smudge at all even after having a mask on for 6-8 hours 🙌🏽 n I’ve tried it with a couple different foundations as well.

I thought I was crazy but my skin tone has changed as well. I do not tan whatsoever and I wear SPF everyday, but I was generally speaking always the lightest shade of foundation and sometimes that wasn’t light enough. I think shades have gotten lighter and darker (still room to improve there) and I thought that may be what was making me think that ... but foundations that used to be a perfect match for me are now 2 shades too light.

If you want a quick sheer/light covarge for oily/combo skin try mixing your foundation with a mattefying primer

My favorite tinted moisturizer/BB cream is the Maybeline Dream Fresh BB cream! They have one w/ salicylic acid for oily/acne prone skin and one w/ SPF for dry skin or those who want sun protection. I have dry/combination skin and use the SPF one and I love it. It melts into the skin and has a light coverage, but it does cover redness and blemishes well enough

I mixed Nars natural radiant with L’Oreal Fresh wear for my wedding. I did my own makeup and my husband said it was the best look. I tried several mixtures in the months leading up to our wedding and found this combo to give best covereage but also a nice finish and held up the best.

I love the Jose Marin tinted moisturizer with SPF 47 (I think?). It's perfect for days when you just want to run errands and get ready on the quick. It has a very light coverage, but evens your skin tone and gives a nice glow. Love your channel Taylor - great tips!!

I have bad scarring on my chin from a childhood fire accident. Makeup always cracks, splits and wears off my chin. BUT I found a game changer NYX loose finishing powder is a little tub of miracle. I set my foundation with the powder and it makes my full coverage foundation smooth, look light weight, matt and lonnnnnng lasting. I apply my makeup at 6AM and remove it at 10PM and it is just as fresh as when applied. No matter what base you have NYX loose powder takes ad keeps any foundation to levels of perfection

I like all this content. I am learning so much from your experiences. Another YT recommended Elta MD Tinted Sunscreen SPF 44 and swears by it for under makeup, etc. I have been using that for the last 2 months and I do like it a lot. Still looking for my HG foundation. Have about 8 so far, mostly affordable brands. I'm 54 and have combo skin. Neutral undertone, light. I think. LOL. Like to have some coverage but don't usually do full coverage. Prefer a little glowy.

I got the purito bb cream after seeing you try it and I am in love! I was worried about the shade but their “darkest” in sand beige ended up being a perfect match. 🤩 It’s crazy. I have normal to dry skin and it gives me the prettiest natural/satin finish. I think it’s the first foundation I’ve used that actually looks like skin on me. I have the cyo too and I like it, but it never seems to sit quite right on my skin. I gotta experiment with it some more. But anyway, love you Taylor! ❤️

I'm usually the exact shade in foundation as you and I tried the UOMA blue top foundation in T1C and it seems to match pretty well. It's a tiny bit dark, but honestly I think it's fine. They were out of the T1N when I ordered so I don't know if the undertone in that would be better as it's supposed to be more neutral, but I don't find the T1C to be too pink. Hope that helps :)
