I went through this with Shadow of the Colossus when it first came out. My friends were like "So it's just a bunch of huge boss fights and all you have is a sword and bow and arrows?" Not interested..until I let them borrow it, then they needed coaching for certain bosses they were stuck on because they "had to know how it ended". That was all before it was a PS2 Greatest Hit or remastered so I feel a sense of pride like I helped build that count to make it a Greatest Hit for PS2

Thank you for the Battlefield 1 bit. I was hook at the moment "More than 60 million soldiers fought in the war to end all wars. It ended nothing" poped into the screen. I did the campaign/ war stories in less than 2 days after the game came out. I was amazed at the story telling of these events. After recommended it to everybody I knew. Almost nobody tried it and I was sad.

Up to this day Dragon Quest 8: the journey of the cursed king, is my favourite game. Period. I play through it about once a semester. The Story is amazing and touching, I love the styling and the round-based fighting. The squad is very likable (especially Jessica ;) ) and so are many of the characters you pass by, even Marcelo to some extent. I love that game, but somehow people don't seem to care when I talk about it.

I do the Gamefly thing cuz I'm also on a budget having kids and such. It's easier to spend 20 bucks a month than it is to spend 60 every other month. For me anyways. Something to consider. Dylan Fox Umhh. If you want to play a really engaging story.. this game is really good for that! All 3 lead characters are really well made and relatable. The game looks phenomal. The platinum is pretty easy. You can replay the story a gazzillion times.

The story is excellent though heavy handed. People will try to call it clunky or nonsensical but I personally think that there is only one real plot point that is like that and the rest is pretty engaging. I've been looking forward to it for years and it's the only game I could get my girlfriend to play with me because of how instantly entertaining it is.

Dave went through the same thing with his girlfriend and I know others who have got their partners, who normally wouldn't care about video games at all, to sit down and get involved, they are genunily exacted for the next time they can pick it up and play a chapter or two. I find they just help bridge that gap for some people and with Detroit's 'easy mode' they don't even have to stress over those QTEs - Hollie

I think it's because the Dragon Quest series as a whole is kind of have a cult following in the west. They're not as popular as FF and Fire Emblem, which is why we haven't seen a console release for an official DQ game since DQ8. Hopefully DQ11 will change that.

When I first bought Witcher 3, I wasn't sure whether I'd enjoy a massive medieval fantasy RPG. But man was I wrong!! Here I am with close to 300 hours of monster slaying, gwent playing, horse riding, romancing and most importantly finding pans for old ladies! It's always worth it to give a new genre a try.

Played lords of the fallen once but i find it a lot slower (in terms of combat) and game itself is not very long,i guess its a good game for begginers in soulslike rpg games...

I just wish everyone would play The Evil Within 2. The first one was fun, but the second one just improves literally everything about it. It’s genuinely scary, the story is surprisingly heartfelt and emotional, not to mention how fantastic the graphics are. Please, please, please play Evil Within 2!

Weirdly, I started playing Inside the other night and fully agree with Dave on his recommendation. It's one of those games that's sat in my library for ages, waiting for its time, and in the few days I had spare before Spider-Man it found its moment. Absolute masterpiece.

Just felt like poking a little fun at the channel. Hopefully most people who watch this channel are aware of who is paying for the channel. Especially since its called Playstation access. 😂 I just couldn't control myself with that title.

I miss the days where they just had the friday feature and occasionally a random video. They were well made and spread out content at a good pace for consumption. Something happened and now the channel feels like spam. Rob went from a fun loving guy to this ego for a while. Now he just seems sad. This is why we can't have nice things. Just let the crew have fun and output a creation from themselves. That everyone WANTS to see. That had made me love playstation for having this channel at the time.

I actually platinumed Battlefield 1 a couple months ago. War Stories was a great move for the series. There hasn't been a good single player campaign in Battlefield since Bad Company 2.

It's the other way around, people tell me what I need to play and I ignore them. It's not that I think I'd dislike the games, my backlog is just too big. I have the rule of buying one new game for every three games I finish and then I buy the games I'm already interested in over recommendations from others. There may be a time in the future when I'll accept recommendations again, but it is not now and also not next year. The only chance for me to do anything after a recommendation at this point in time is when I'm already interested in a game and then someone tells me it's great & I need to play it.
