Dalton Rife I personally think some of your love for AC has to do a lot with nostalgia. Don’t get me wrong, AC2 is an amazing game, but the story in redemption 2 is just one of the best of all time. I believe it to be the best character development of all time and one of the best stories in video game history. Assassins creed not so much.

Odyssey is really good I usually get bored of games pretty quick but I got really hooked on it and I’ve played Skyrim Witcher 3 and lots of other games but I also really enjoyed red dead 2

Too hard to choose just one, so: Bloodborne; The Witcher 3; NieR Automata; Horizon Zero Dawn; Yakuza 0; Final Fantasy XV; Honorable mentions: God of War; Dragon's Dogma; DQ11; Persona 5; The Last of Us; DMC5; Battlefield 1; Bioshock Infinite; Titanfall 2; Vampyr; Undertale; plus many, many other great, memorable games. This decade was without a doubt the best one so far in terms of gaming.

@@tatleman5314 I had a blast playing God of War, but it didn't resonate with me as much as a gaming experience like with other games - Nier or Witcher 3 for example. I can't help to feel like the game was losing steam as the journey was progressing. The best part for me were the very first hours and by the end after you go to Helheim with Atreus it began too feel like a drag. The main bosses are lacking too. The final fight especially, being 90% the same as the very first boss fight without the badass tree and rock breaking and setpieces. The Last of Us probably has some of the most well-done, complex and fleshed out characters in any game, but I think it lacks some oomph in the story and setpiece department. The gameplay itself, while great, polished and satisfying is forgetable, mainly because of the setpieces, as they're pretty similar and unremarkable. When I think back at The Last of Us no part of the game itself really comes to mind but the cutscenes. Persona 5 is actually amazing, I agree that I should've put it higher. The only complaint I have is Okumura and Kaneshiro having bad palaces and being pretty bad characters. Just my thoughts.

I just finished playing Journey this week. First time I had ever, ever played it and it was amazing. Played it and streamed on Twitch and was joined by a coop partner from chat. They then helped me out and led me through some areas - the way you communicate without words is fascinating and it was a very, very special game to play with little knowledge of what was coming next.

@MichaeLemon I brought the subject up because I had that game sitting around for 7 years and never played it. Finally put it in the ps3, I have a 12gb save file and that game has frozen on me no less than 20 times. I researched it on google and it has always been a joke and was never fixed. The ps3 doesn't have enough video memory to run it properly, fallout 3 was the same way nothing but a joke. Inspite of that I suffered through all the bs and platinumed both games. I also did all the suggestions I could find to make it work better and it did help but It's still an inexcusable joke.

I had such a beautiful experience with journey, I remember on my third playthrough I was paired with someone who stuck around for the whole game and showed me every single one of the secrets, me only able to play a strange tone to him to say thank you until eventually I could fly infinitely too with the white cloak, it was such an amazing experience I'll never forget it :')

I completely agree. Demons Souls was the game that started the genre. I wish they would do a remake. The whole leaving messages for people online was genius to me because it still left the wonder of the game and allowed you to play at your own pace without completely spoiling anything.

Bloodborne was my first true dip into the souls like genre as well. I'd played the original Demon Souls when I was a kid, but simply didn't have the patience for it, never got far. It was later when some friends of mine had been playing Bloodborne and managed to talk me into it that I discovered my love of Souls like games. It's actually funny, cause my two friends who had been playing Bloodborne something like several weeks before I got it, never actually completed it, while I've replayed and beaten it multiple times since, lol. I've played "bad" souls like games and still enjoyed them, so yeah, this was definitely my first step into that genre and I fell in love. I will say this, Bloodborne isn't "scary" but it is creepy as all get out. The atmosphere and tone, combined with the fact that even with my fairly proficient skills, death was always potentially around the corner, makes Bloodborne a game that still creeps me out while playing.

Witcher 3 being 2nd was a surprise because Bloodborne is a very niche game while witcher 3 is one of the most mainstream open world games.

When I first picked up the last of us remastered I was nervous my dad had gotten it and I got stuck on it and gave up. But something told me to buy it for myself and see how far I could get. I played this game for 3 days straight. When I beat it I cried in the middle of the night and when I woke up immediately jumped into the left behind dlc and cried again. It brought me so many emotions and just made me so happy but also scared for the characters I'd grown attached to.

Im glad Journey's on the list. That was a spectacular experience. If there was a trophy for finding a complete stranger and going through the entire game with them, I would've gotten it. This person had the white robe while I was on my first playthrough, he showed me countless glitches in the map, we finished the game together start to finish, and I even waited 15 minutes for him not knowing if he would come back. Such a cool concept for a game.

Bloodborne for game of the decade. The sense of adventure is unrivalled.The game does not tell you anything about the world you are in and what you are there to accomplish .. You are left to piece together what has happened and that feeling of venturing into the unknown is something i will never forget . Its so meticulously crafted that everything you discover has a deeper meaning and after i finished it i found myself questioning my own mortality. Its just such an engaging game that makes you want to dive back into the dark and gritty world to discover all its secrets. its not for the faint hearted so overcoming those challenges gives you such a great sense of accomplishment. Its deffinately not everyones cup of tea but if you like a game that prioritizes thought provoking world building and exploration .. Then bloodborne is for you.

GTA V isn't really as good as GTA IV. I bought it and never played it after about 2 hours. The Witcher 3 is overhyped. I also stopped playing that after 1 hour. There are SO MANY other better games from the 2010's.

Assassins creed Odyssey was my first platinum. I'm not really a trophy hunter, so it was a massive surprise to me when I did check the trophy list and I was only 2 trophies away from the Platinum. Before the DLC, I had about 250 hours logged in.

I would go with Dark souls over demon souls as the example, demon souls was ofcourse good but something about dark souls for me is one of the best games I've ever played, demon souls doesnt come to mind when I think about the series.

It changed how I look and feel at games. I cannot even replay it. I get sentimental reminiscing moments of the game... and that save file. 😭😭😭

Sekiro. A game that challenged me more than any other and I felt the need, the demand even to overcome. Like the moment I fought Genichiro over and over until everything clicked and I beat him, it was like “there’s something special here.” No game has left me with biggest sigh of relief after finishing and I wish I could wipe my memory and go back to it for the first time again. Especially guardian ape.

Fallout New Vegas. I will never forget my first playthrough. The story is amazing, the characters as well and the companion quests-especially Boone and Veronica-stucked with me long after I finished the game. Too bad Obsidian only had 18 to finish this game. My top 3 also includes Red Dead Redemption and The last of us 😊😊
