Reduce white point only helps if the screen wouldn’t use PWM above 50% and used DC dimming. The iPhones use PWM at all brightness so this won’t make any difference. So if you are sensitive for PWM I would suggest to keep using LCD phones. Or try the Xiaomi 13 or Honor 200 or some Motorola phones. They are much better regarding the PWM issue. Apple doesn’t acknowledge that PWM is a problem. So they won’t fix it.

Does not ‘remove PWM’ at all. Reduce white point only reduces brightness while allowing the ‘base’ brightness to be higher and still comfortable to look at. PWM is present at all brightness levels on all modern iPhones.

Probobly yes, i bought new phone which has AMOLED display and i feel my eyes, like something in my eye muscles after looking for some minutes. And then i look whole day at my IPS pc screen and i feel nothing. I will probably return my phone and i will buy some phone which has IPS display

@@alisafavi5346hi, I have exact same iPad Pro M1 2021, but I have 11” version of it. It very comfortable for my eye, and I use my iPad like 10-12 hours per day sometime with no problems.. I think 11” and 12.9” have different screens. Maybe you should try 11” version

Of course it won't remove PWM totally. You can resolve hardware problem with software so easy. Keep in mind problem with eyes is not always PWM, there's something called Temporal dithering

Samsung have the worst PWM on the market. IPhones OWM is about 15-16%, Samsung can be 60-100%! And normal range is 0-5%.
