Today, women could use more discretion in choice of clothing. The more feminine and modest her clothing is, well, there is power in it. This topic could be addressed in a series.

The problem is that he is both right and wrong. No scripture does not say women can’t wear pants because as he said pants didn’t exist back then. But guess what, they do now. We as humans with a brain need to seek for what GOD wants us to do by reading the Word and asking God for discernment. I wore pants (still do) and crop tops (not anymore) , exposed too much skin at the top and/or bottom but GOD changed me because I was WILLING AND WANTING TO BE WHAT HE WANTED ME TO BE. Still working on me. But one thing I can’t fake is putting on pants that show too much of curve or wearing them without a beautiful cardigan that covers me up a bit because now showing too much makes me uncomfortable. God wants us to be beautiful, tasteful and feminine. Not lustful and lusted after. It’s not what you wear, but how you wear it. Seek God for His understanding and you’ll find your answer weather you like it or not lol

@TheScarletCord10 ай бұрын
In the beginning this pastor’s presentation seems to be a well founded teaching on legalism. His supporting grounds that there were no pants in the Old Testament is true, but not sufficient for his point. Likewise, his statement about female construction workers in relation to wearing dresses is not typical. What the principal point here in between the Old and New Testament is the honor of God. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says, Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. I pray that this Pastor revisits this message, because he is in error and may have just sanctioned something that he didn’t intend to. For example, wearing very alluring body attire (pants or dresses). There must be a distinction between Godliness and worldliness. Also, there is a belief that this pastor was pandering to the female section of the congregation for approval.

We try to circumcise everything but our hearts before God. I don't wear pants by choice except for sweats to workout in, wash the car, ... However, my manner of dress isn't what saved me. Rather, it is the result of my salvation and relationship with the Lord. At the end of the day, the Lord will require an account of the content of my heart that guides my behavior and love before Him. I do equally concur that saved women ought not come to church or present themselves to everyday life looking like they want all their business on display to attract and distract. The same for men. Whatever we do, scripture tells us to make a difference between holy and holy, clean and unclean, and if we call ourselves holy, our representation ought to be that of holiness.

The preacher is spot on. The ones who have a problem with what he's saying are the ones he's talking about that don't read the Scriptures and just listen to somebody's message or reads Christian books with no Scripture in it. Otherwise, they'd understand for themselves that what he's saying is true. Cultural and church traditions have been ingrained in our minds. It's hard to let go of them even when the truth is right in your face. Ignorance makes us blind to the point where we don't even want to see the light. Trust me I know. But that's the point where we have to decide whether we're going to continue to follow behind people or whether we're going to choose to follow the truth of God. I choose God. There's a thin line between ignorant and foolish.

Some translations were not done well or words weren’t translated at all. For instance NIV rearranges sentences and verses, leaves out verses and phrases, paraphrases, and introduces material which is not in the original language. Keep in mind this was done with the word “trousers” in the NIV . Other more literal versions of the Bible don’t say “trousers” because they did not wear them.

Unfortunately this is going against Scripture. It’s true we MUST study the Bible for ourselves and ask God to lead us. I myself would’ve been the LAST person to ever think I’d be wearing dresses or skirts every day. But when the Lord opened my eyes and pricked my heart to see and understand what He wants His daughters to look and dress like. I had a choice whether I could ignore Him or not based on our current society and culture yet thank God I choose to heed His words. It’s true no one wore “pants” however men did wear a pant style as they were told to “gird up their lions” this is creating a split in the robe to separate the legs aka PANTS. This was a man’s way of dressing. Women were never told to do this because it was for MEN. This is where pants come from. And up until the War where women in masses began to not only wear pants but to also step outside of the home as their primary role (our primary role should be in the home-if you don’t believe in that then you don’t believe in the Bible!) So yes pants aka girding up the loins, splitting the robe into two separate legs - PANTS - is and has always been for MEN !! And additionally skirts conceal the curves and lady parts that should be hidden for your husband ! No woman of God should want the shape of her butt and crotch for everyone to see ! But y’all in this society is too afraid to be set apart from the world. The Bible says if you love the world you are an enemy to God. You can’t love this culture so much that you defy Gods Word because you’re afraid of being legalistic. There’s a difference between OBEDIENCE and legalism. I threw away all my pants and haven’t looked back and haven’t sexualized myself for all to see. I don’t want every man and woman seeing every curve on my body. In Jesus name may our eyes be opened amen ❤

I was raised all my life in strict churches where legalism existed. It was a miserable existence. Everything I did or thought I said wrong I thought God was through with me. I was tormented and by that not only in the outward appearance that was put upon me, but also voices that would tell me to do things that I know now was not God. The worst thing about legalism it causes you to judge others by the standards that you are taught. I remember thinking if a woman died with short hair she was going to hell. I do believe in modesty and covering my body, but I thank God I am no longer in that tormented state of bondage. I believe the standard should also be for men. It was always the women who were preached at. When you leave a church service feeling worse than you entered something is wrong. I have seen young men on the platform in churches who wear their pants so tight and have hairstyles just like the men in the world including man buns. How would I know they are a Christian If I did not know? Every man has to work out his own salvation with the fear of the Lord.

I shouldnt be able to know your nooks and crannies as well as your husband because of what you wear. Nor should you be comfortable with the public being able to see it. Husbands, you shouldn't be cool with your wife going out with everything out or a painted on outfit. This message stretches deep, modesty in a christian means a lot, some women dress with motive (showing off their bodies) same to men that plait hair, some of these things are copied from the "world". Our dressing as Christians should be holy. 1 Timothy 2:9-10, 9 I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10 but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God. Jeremiah 4:30 When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it. And she painted her eyes and adorned her head and looked out of the window. So how then do you explain all these scriptures. We don't need to sugar coat messages, call a spead a spead. Moses was a prophet and I believe by the Holy spirit revealing to him about women not wearing men's clothing, it was what it is and still applies to this current day, besides nothing is new under the sun.

In the Book of Exodus God always told Moses to tell the children of Israel to take off their jewelry before going to the Altar! Here is scripture Read Exodus 33:5-7 5. For the Lord had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee. 6 And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb. 7 And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the Lord went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp. So if earrings are so right it looks like God should have never told them to take it out! Was we born with holes in our ear. Leviticus talks about piercing and tattoos on our bodies! Here is scripture Leviticus 19:28 KJV. Take a look! See you these false sellers telling people things and they have not read the WHOLE BIBLE NOT ONE TIME! PLEASE SEAT DOWN AND SHUT UP

ok i hear him but when pants were created was it for man or woman?

He didn't account for that fact. Certain law may not be directly applicable today, as much as we don't observe ceremonial laws, but the principles still apply.

Greetings. I happen to come across this. Like all preachers,remember they are always going to be in err, when it comes to something in the Bible not say they are not save. But he is in err. When the Bible says plainly how women holy women aren’t to dress. Pastor Tony Smith from Atlanta, Georgia, and Gino Jennings. Would correct him and love. 🙏🏽WarreG.
@Randa_T.18 күн бұрын
I don't know Pastor Tony Smith but Gino Jennings is definitely unreliable. Nevertheless, only God's word is the authority that can issue correction not any of these pastors. But, why do you think this pastor is in err for teaching that the Bible doesn't disallow women from wearing pants or that they are not forbidden to wear pants? Do you have a Scripture to support that he's wrong? The verse in Deuteronomy has nothing to do with women wearing pants, and I'm not aware of any other verse that states or implies it's wrong for a woman to wear pants or why...

Whole lot that ain’t actually scripture… Bible don’t say drinking is sin and it doesn’t even say getting drunk is sin. Go back and check the verse. We added that on top of what Paul actually said. Now don’t strawman me and say “so what you saying we should get drunk?” No. Just saying we add stuff on what’s actually said.

Man the word says God doesn’t change. Including his word. So if it was wrong then it’s wrong now. You’re following traditions of man when you wear pants.

This message is misleading bc he never really elaborated on the scripture he used. So it’s almost as he wants to uplift women bc I’m sure that congregation was 70% women and he didn’t want to lose any members

you haven’t watched the full video, search “2819 church” he does verse by verse. he is in matthew ch 12-20 for more than year. maybe that’ll better inform your statements.

You are a young man that must not have heard of the first women clothes designer that created pants for women!? And she wasn't even born in the Old Testament era neither in the era of the New Testament ... You see you want to be so revelational yet you see not how the enemy put things in place way before hand so that it would bring about chaos destruction in the plan of GOD Her name if you know it Just one who seek to get an understanding One mind Love you much

What does all the things that you mentioned that the church Has restricted women from doing, has to do with the couple’s marriage. Are you kidding me. If you don’t have nothing to preach let me help you. Tell the people to break up their behaviour and give their heart to Jesus.

Stop making excuses and giving people excuses to sin. Study homie...pants did exist in Moses time they were called "breeches"... charismatic and super wrong. Exodus 28:42 [42]And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:
