Stop Looking At The Club Face and Discover Accurate Golf Shots!

In this video, I'm going to share a simple golf tip that can help you hit your shots straighter. Most golfers make the mistake of aiming with the club face, but this is actually a big mistake. The club face can move during your swing, so it's not a reliable way to aim. Instead, you should aim with your grip.
Here's how it works:
Find a target that you want to hit.
Place your clubface square to the target.
Grip the club so that the leading edge of the grip is pointing directly at the target.
Make your swing.
By aiming with your grip, you'll ensure that your clubface is square to the target at impact. This will help you hit your shots straighter and more consistently.
Here are some additional tips to help you hit straighter shots:
Make sure your stance is square to the target.
Keep your head down and your eyes on the ball.
Swing smooth and controlled.

The real trick is to close your eyes, grip the club as tightly as possible, then swing with unrestrained violence. That's how the greats do it.

You should mention grip pressure. Anything more than a 4 out of then is starting to get excessive. I keep it as low as 3 to prevent tension in the hands, arms and shoulders .Tension is a distance killer.

I was taught to hold the Bat Loose with my fingers not with the Grip down tight to Your Thumb You Will see some Major League Hitters wearing that doughnut ring on their thumb against the bat to keep Grip Loose!

At first I thought you meant aim your grip configuration, not the physical grip. Thinking about it, I reckon aiming the grip configuration is possibly a better option?! That said, we initially set our hands on the club using the face! And ..... the grip is installed onto the club using the face too!

It’s the same goal really. An alternative way to look at things especially if you find yourself second guessing or fidgeting at times Confidence you can choose an intermediate point and aim over it is the key.

One of the reasons I get frustrated with all these golf tip videos is that 9 out of 10 times I am told something in the video that isn't what I have in my golf bag. My clubs are one year old and none of my clubs, including all the irons, do NOT have any markings on the grip as you show in your video. Sorry but nothing in this video can help me when what you say is there isn't there for me.

You can use the orientation of your hands as reference. However being aware of the optical illusion of the club face is often enough to assist reliable aiming

Sir, you can fix this in various ways, use some 1,2 inch blue tape and wrap 1 ring at the very top of your grip, mark it exactly where you find the bottom of the face exactly lined up with where you will mark with a sharpie. if this helps then you can make a dent or use a letter at the top of the grip. nobody some ribs don’t have a line up mark, but they will have a little vein running behind that must be exactly resting at your fingers when gripping the clubs. ask your pro shop maybe they can also mark them for you for a few bucks, they know how to do these things. I used to grip my clubs before this is not as difficult as it seems.

I play older blades with no markings on the grips, so this doesn’t apply very well. I agree with not moving the hands after gripping the club though.

If you went to a pro for a lesson would you want him to just give you a tip and a demo and ask for the money? Doubt it. Knowing if something is applicable and why it may be so is the key to improvement. Just trying random tip after tip without context and knowledge yields little results, lack of progress and ultimately no real self learning about what works for one self and how to keep self coaching g as it were so you know what tendencies are and what to stick to.
