Without a doubt this video is the most information rich presentation I've seen on the subject of KDP sales. Every point Barry makes is pertinent, and his use of analogies in explaining the principles that work best for procuring sales is impressive. I love his quick delivery. It says two things to me; respect for my time and the need for me to pay attention. Hands down Barry is the best internet instructor for the KDP community.

HI Barry! How fast after adjusting the bids in a manual kw ad will you be able to see the change in the actual search results?

I believe since the ABSR changes every hour the bid adjustments would take place also within that hour. However the amazon ads dashboard is a little bit slow so it's hard to measure exactly how long it would take. From my experience, once I adjust the bid I would get clicks for that bid within 24 hours :)

Hi Barry thanks for the valuable videos. I just wanted to ask if I want to publish on Kdp and ingramspark will I need to have my own isbn? And if so how can I get an isbn if I live in Cyprus?

Great question. When publishing on KDP, amazon will give you an ISBN for your ebook, paperback and hardcover completely for free no matter what country you live in. I think Ingram spark does the same but you will have to check their FAQ to make sure :)

Since a gift search tern is very broad you will be competing with many other products on amazon. I will look into making a video on how to compete for broader terms :)

I have to ask you something about ad bids since you say you always bid high, how do you fit in the costs? if you have a book that brings you a profit of $3 per copy how can you afford to pay bids $1.50? that's what I don't understand, you would have to have an almost impossible conversion rate to make up for it. explain to me why this is a doubt that everyone has and a question that I often hear, I ask myself it too, and to this day I can't find an answer. thanks

My books give me a profit of around $5-$7 per sale. My goal isn't to break even with my ads but to make side my organic sales outweigh my ad sales in order to create a good income :)

​@@barrygeorgioukdp I understand perfectly, the aim is to invest even losing money initially or not being profitable with ads, to achieve a good rank so as to recover and earn with organic sales. The problem is with low or medium content books where the profit from each book cannot be so high as to give you 5-7 dollars royalties, otherwise the competition with very low prices will destroy you. I have some experience with high content books where in some niches there are not too high prices anyway (10-12 dollars) and it is not feasible to keep the bids high. it is probably my job to find a niche with a good balance between costs and earnings. thanks for the reply. always the best.💙
