I’ve been watching your videos maybe just 5 days ago. I love your presentations - straight to the point. I started with the video you made about making journals, and created one WHiLE watching that video. Followed step by step as you went along with my laptop on. The next day, I created a children’s prayer journal. Then the 3rd day, I created “You’re Not Just a Mom, You’re a Legend,” which is an all in one book - reasons why you love your mom (fill in the blanks), poems, doodling pages for mom, etc. since I’m a teacher, I have some topics for children’s books, but haven’t started on that. I saw your video on how to make Amazon ads. And looked into TikTok. However, I don’t have a following on TikTok. I hardly use it, but videos won’t work if u don’t have a following, correct? What would be your advice to market this? Thanks in advance.

I absolutely agree. With that said, (and I'm a Royalty Hero member), I'm retired and at the moment, doing OK money-wise. That wasn't the case for much of my life, but it is now. Yes, I'm looking forward to making some really decent money in 2025, but there were fun projects I thought of and I wanted to get them published anyway. I bought a nice lined journal interior for a dollar, and made a couple notebooks just for the fun of playing with AI. One image wasn't what I was trying to create, but it gave me a notebook idea that I just wanted to do. The other notebook was something I gave people for Christmas, and my friend bought ten of them to give to his co-workers. But I have a word search out, and am working on other puzzle books at the moment. I'm also having fun creating a coloring book. Am I Coco Wyo? Nope! But learning Affinity Designer, which I bought a couple years ago, is something I need to do. I'm already pretty good at Canva from my freelance writing that I did for the past ten years. I really need to get back to my novel as well. Thanks Sean!!

You referenced a Richard Scarry book in your "Medium Content" example - and how it makes $1800/month in royalties - but that's because that book was originally published in hard cover in 1972 by an established, beloved children's book author/illustrator - not an unknown who got rich quick using A.I. Respect for encouraging would-be creators and providing a roadmap - and this isn't specific to you only - but too many successful influencers flash big dollar signs at what should be nothing more than a hobby or perhaps a side hustle at best for 99% of the population.

Thanks for your comment. One showcase of an established author should not take away from all the other books I show on this channel from ordinary people doing this as a hobby or a side hustle.
