@@EnglishRightNow Hi, I am good, thank you. I live in Santos, a city bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, in the state of Sao Paulo. As a press photographer I have been to Belo Horizonte many times and I really enjoyed it.

Nice video. One particular teacher, when I was doing doing my English studies at university in France, pointed out the fact that there is no common sound between French and English, which he showed us thanks to sectional views that showed the difference between what happens in an English mouth shown in profile and a French one in the same position. The first time I saw that made me stay in a state of shock! But that two-hour class on the subject made me save a lot of time. So, your insisting on the position of the tongue and the opening of the mouth couldn't strike the target any better. Thumbs up!

First of all, thank you for making this useful video. I follow numerous channels related to the British modern RP accent, and almost all of them are created by English native speakers. However, I've recently noticed that some of them have a different intonation thanks to immersing myself in this beautiful accent. I can't understand how it is possible! Because, when it comes to accents, they consist not only of pronounciation, but also of intonation.

Funny because if she says the word bar in Portuguese, she will get the sound Americans make when they say the word car. I truly like the idea of focusing on the vowels like this. It's also fascinating how as humans we can truly or potentially reproduce every sound in all languages. Luciana's RP pronunciation is perfection! 🎉

Hey, Rosa! I’ll pass on the compliment to Lu! She’ll be really happy to hear that! It’s a common thing people do, thinking they don’t need to focus on similar sounds - I remember the ‘pão’ issue when I was saying ‘pow’ thinking it was OK while trying to learn Portuguese. It was until I really worked on it that I could make that sound! :).
